For the tech Pedes, do any of the VPN's actually work? I'm thinking that once Trump's social media site is up and declass starts habbening in earnest, our ISPs will attempt to block us from sites like that and this one. I've heard some of the VPNs are BS but would any of them get around the ISPs blocking us?

They will get through your isp, vpns do work that is not the question. Yes some mask better etc, but really where its at is if they are in a country that has to turn over your info if requested, and if they evwn keep logs to begin with. Protonmail offers a good one, I check it some and it has never shown my true location. In fact I keep getting refused access because I might look like I'm in Japan or Europe...

Well, if your VPN company had only one public IP, and you were it’s only customer.
VPNs are/usually are dangerous. They concentrate your traffic so it has 1 place it all goes through (single point of monitoring for DS/bad guys). Keep this in mind.
If you're looking to access something blocked, there are newer and better technologies. Do keep in mind, there is little way to verify who is truly an ally or foe in the commercial space. Even of the company doesn't log traffic, that does not mean they aren't under surveillance upstream and those items being logged.
