One of the South Park creators said something like, the only way to get Archie Bunker back on TV was as an 8 year old Eric Cartman on their cartoon.
Archie Bunker vs George Jefferson was pure gold. If you couldnt laugh at that shit, if all you saw was racism, you are a humorless piece of crap that takes itself way the hell too seriously.
I've been watching St. Elsewhere and even on that, there's a ton of stuff that wouldn't be on today's sad programming

Saw Howie Mandel in a concert one time years ago. He was funny, but wow...pretty foul mouthed.
Did they set-up/frame then memory-hole Bill Cosby because it would hurt their narrative to point out the fact that for YEARS, the number one show on television was a family-friendly show about a successful black obstetrician married to a successful black lawyer lovingly raising their 5 kids? Even if Cosby were indeed a creep, the fact that White America ate up that show should say something about the narrative of racial hatred.
His records were hilarious as well.

As kids, my sibling and I listened to his albums over and over; we knew a bunch of his routines by heart, which I'm sure entertained our parents to no end on car trips (they might have had a different opinion.) Ah....memories.
"To Russell, My Brother, Whom I Slept With" We listened to this one growing up while visiting the Grand-parents. Had us laughing until we couldn't breathe.

Watched them all growing up as an average middle-class female and glad I did. In my now 68-year life and a recently retired inner city hospital nurse, I have never personally experienced "RACISM" in any manner.

Sanford and Son knocked The Brady Bunch off the air, thus destroying the lives of six kids who had to wait three whole years to return to television in an astonishingly bad variety show.

All In The Family was a brilliant show. I love how even though Meathead and Archie played off of stereotypes they weren't just completely one-dimensional yokel characters. And I love how the writers were able to poke fun at both Archie and Meathead.
Meathead wasn't playing, he wasn't even acting. Rob Reiner really is that F'ed up in the head.

Have Married with Children set to record whenever its on any channel. Get about 50 per week on WGN and Logo. Watch em every morning before work.
It's on Hulu if you got it. I've been watching it whenever I have the time.
