It’s a Pyrrhic victory for the Dems. Signature matching won’t change a single vote because there is no way to trace the form to the ballot. So, even if it proves fraud there is no clear path to using it to overturn the election. Evidence of fraud has to be found on the actual ballots or in the machines.
The big issues that were raised in AZ right after the election were intentionally sending ballots to electronic adjudication. They gave people pens instead of markers. And improperly instructed them to press a button that caused their ballots to drop into the electronic adjudication folder.
The second issue that was raised through statistical analysis was a large number of votes were pre-loaded into the machines. So Dem candidates started with a substantial advantage. The last was a story about a plane load of counterfeit ballots flown in on election night. So there is plenty for this audit to capture that can actually change the results of the election.
The signature on the ballot envelope is required for early/mailed ballots to be accepted. Unsigned envelopes are supposed to be tossed. I think one of the first things they did was sample ballot envelopes and check that against registration to see how many times Mickey Mouse voted, and get a no-match list.
