AMEN
Matthew 24 v 10 And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another.
Yup, had plenty of that - count it all joy.
A big Amen on that one.
I'm going back to church this morning for the first time in I don't know how long. Several months ago we had a soft opening of sorts where staff & lay leaders attended so that we could help with a trial run of opening back up all the way. Then the next week for some reason we shut back down. Then we opened back up with rsvp only, social distanced, muzzled, etc. So I never went. I'm sure empty pews and empty collection plates convinced them to drop the mask mandate 2 days ago. So I'm going back & I'm wondering if I'll be the only one there not muzzled. I certainly don't care because I'm used to it everywhere I go. I almost wish they hadn't done this Mother's Day weekend because it'll be hard to tell if more butts in the pews are because of the mask mandate lifting or because a bunch of people are dragged there by their mothers to make them happy.
I left my church behind, along with their long closure, outside services, face diapering, social isolation and leaving out the back door instead of going out the way we came in. The fear, compliance, submission and blind obedience to communism was too much for me. My new church is a literal breath of fresh air.
Exactly!
or better yet, what pleases God.
This is what I think about now.
Why?
Because as followers of God we are called to honor Him by living righteously.
Oh, I just do that because it's the best way to live.
Well to be fair if God knows everything then God can nether be surprised nor offended since GoD already knew before it happened....right?
I think I can have foreknowledge of something and it still be offensive. E.g. Knowing Georgia was going to cheat on the election of November 2020.
