There is a reason batteries are no longer removable. Turning them off is no longer a reliable method.
So if I have an older Samsung note with removable battery is this a better option??
On so many levels. Bluetooth stacks are not compatible with each other. BTLE is really what they are using. Older versions of BT were harder to pair and didn't do as much.
Thanks Henry...its a note 4...I'm going to use it...perfect phone still works great. I keep things (still have an old rotary phone for when and if I need it lol, actually did need it when power went out for 2 weeks). Have a generator hooked right into the house....I can food...I hunt...
Dies this make me a prepper?? Kek
Blessings fren
Fear-mongering nonsense identical to "DUMP your computer because"... <ominous music> "...VIRUSES!!! Auuuggghh!"
Try this: don't download stupid shit, and get a decent scan-tool (like VirusTotal).
This may be the answer.
Not cheap though. Privacy has a price.
A Faraday cage is a cheaper alternative but those look sweet.. wish I could afford them!
Indeed, it keeps radiation IN, therefore, keeps radiations out.. ?
Seriously? ? Does it have to be plugged in?
Seriously dude, don't zap your phone, it will have the same effect as dropping it in the river.
Fridges are also faraday cages, not too sure about a microwave tho due to the glass door. Stick your phone in there & try calling etc
Scary stuff. Leave your phone at home. Get a cheap tablet and use free WiFi. Less risky.
not much good for telephony.
I assumed they already had the ability to do this. The phones have very easily made us willing participants.
No doubt they've been able to do this since January 6th, but you're right they've done this for a long time.
I'm still using a landline, have never owned a Smartphone and have managed quite nicely without.
I wonder at what I lost when I got my 1st cellphone March 2001; what did I gain hooking my computer the first time in April 2003?? ?
I've been searching and searching for a "dumb phone" that will still allow group messaging with pictures. Besides a couple expensive Kickstarters I've found nothing.
I kinda miss my Motorola flip phone, but the camera was about 10 pixels, lol.
Goolag free flip phone No apps or browser Group/picture MMS supported Three models some with GPS, camera and weather.

You can use a 4G feature phone with removable battery. Not even a camera.
You'd even know if they were listening in when it's not in use because your audio equipment would be going beeepbeeepbeeep quietly as it picks up the 4G signal your phone emits.
I always know when a text is coming in! I hear it through the hi fi.
But they most likely use wifi which wont make those sounds. Even if you dont have wifi, I'm sure someone around you does and your phone will use their connection to upload...
No wifi, no bluetooth, think 1990s tech.
They know where you are by the cell you are connected to, but it's not very accurate.
