If you came in with no mask we would ask you if you wanted one and offer you a new gaiter with our logo on it. If you told us no we did not ask why, we assume you cannot wear a mask and so privacy.
Since Texas dropped it we don't ask anyone about it al all, even though the sanctuary county I'm in is run by commies.
Last week I was out near Houston looking for a specific piece of jewelry for my Wife's birthday, 5 out of 6 jewelry stores told me I must mask to enter and three of them had locked doors that they had to open for my entry. They lost business.
'Some' mandates are absolutely 'Law', youbetcha. A health department can shut you down any where in this country for instance.
And in case you have failed to notice, we no longer enjoy a Blind Justice System here, cops allow BLM terrorists to block roads and hold people hostage, courts open the gates to prisons and let murderers out because chinese flu fears, mobs destroy your shops and burn you out and even protest at your house, if you are weak and don't defend.
Even a City Ordinance can be legally enforced in the courts, idiot mayors can absolutely dictate stupid things as being required and cops will enforce it. Unless 'you' are willing to die fighting on that particular hill at that particular time it is for all intents and purposes indeed, 'law'.
An otherwise peaceful Fella was harassed and arrested at taser point in Waco the other day because a cop ordered him to mask up in a little store, the guy mentioned the governor had lifted the mask orders, the cop became enraged and told him 'city ordinance, can't you read the sign'? The cop ordered him out of the store, the guy complied but the copper followed him, arrested him, called for backup, the guy was carrying and the cop disarmed him, unloaded his magazine onto the parking lot, cop supervisors were called and the guy went to jail.
Sound like 'law' to you? When you hear the train coming get OFF the tracks.
That's not law. That's tyranny. Citizens must hold their 'officials' to the Constitution. When they don't, all hell abounds, as you pointed out. But those officials are acting outside the law.
I've never put on a face panty and I never will. I go where I want to go with no problems. Sure a lot of stores have the signs up but I still walk in and no one has challenged me. I've also visited a relative in the hospital on two occasions and never wore a mask. I got a few looks but no one challenged me. South Carolina here.
