I've ridden bikes for over 50 years, at times I would wear a bandana over my mouth/nose, keeps bugs and dirt out. FYI, bees taste ok but if you ever get butterflies or those damn 'love bugs' in your mouth you'll consider something to block that from happening, jes sayin'.
I wear my helmet religiously tho, and these days it's full face, technology has made that comfortable. As I like to point out to helmetless bikers, if you have a 5 dollah head maybe you don't need a helmet but if you have a million dollah head you oughtta protect it.
Honestly I've seen motorcyclists wearing things like bandannas around their mouth and nose before the pandemic. Maybe he's just one of those guys. Probably not, but just pointing it out. ?♂️
I am 100% against mask wearing, however I have always worn a “buff” over my face while riding to avoid the auto exhaust in traffic and from getting bugs in my mouth.
I know lots of bikers who wore masks when they ride before corona....

Hard to say from the pic. Could be a rebel or scout. They have some 650cc scooters nowadays, bigger and faster than a lot of small motorcycles.
