No thanks, I prefer Christian countries.
Hmm. Based on your comment it sounds like you'd be more comfortable in a theocratic oligarchy. The Christian ideas the US were founded on freedom of choice. Freedom to choose to follow God, freedom to choose what to partake in and not to... If you're not comfortable with people's freedom of choice, this isn't the "Christian" country for you.
This is how it appears to a third party reader of this convo: You're attacking a straw man and you're defending pervertedly watching strangers fuck on camera to get your jollies. Knight-errant is correct that porn is a weapon against morals and spirit. It's unjustifiable to defend watching porn as a Christian moral choice.
People get awfully aggressive and resort to using cheap fallacies when it comes to porn for some reason.
They're addicts. The narrative of "it's no problem" is by no coincidence what keeps them in the trap. The irony is that the moment you start to realize porn is degenerate, the less you feel like masturbating. It's a more effective quitting strategy than "no fap." Just realize it's wrong and be done with it forever, it really is THAT simple. Giving the benefit of the doubt to the lie is what keeps people giving the liar the chance to keep lying.

It has more to do with self control. Christianity is about self control, not having a theocratic government dictate what your moral code is.
Porn is bad. There arent any justifications for it.
You seem to have a twisted understanding of the freedom that the Founding Fathers promoted. It had nothing to do with giving free license to be complete degenerates. Their idea of freedom was not about the freedom to spread pornography and consume such things. It was freedom to be unmolested by overreaching governments when it came to things like freedom of speech, freedom of the press, freedom to defend one's own life.
This modern conception of freedom that you hold yourself wasn't introduced into out society until the 20th century by a bunch of sick "intellectuals" from the Frankfurt school.
Hurrr duur... "muh porn will kill you." Arguments.
You DO know that the Founding Fathers met and talked about the Revolution and Freedom in bars, right? Was that sinful too?
I get what you are saying, and I agree when it is NOT CONSENTING, but you are being overly broad and really ruining your credibility.
I agree and follow Q and I love this board. When you (collectively) start demanding others to do things because YOU think that God told you to, is where you lose me as a person.
Thanks!
Strawman. I never said you will physically die from porn.
I did know that. No I don't think meeting in bars or even drinking in moderation is sinful.
I don't believe there's anything about being "overly broad" in discussing how porn is harmful. It is.
I'm "demanding" nothing from others.
I don't think God is against porn. I know he is.
You come across as awfully agitated in this discussion. Is porn that dear to you?
There is a difference between freedom of speech and actively trying to destroy the family unit.
Porn is a tool to destroy the family unit. It denigrates the union between a man and a woman. It deminishes the value and attractiveness of your spouse.
Porn is used to push degenerate sexual behaviour because the victim becomes desensitized to sexual contact.
I would know, I quit porn cold turkey after my wife almost left me. I think clearly, I have more energy and once again, my wife is the only woman that gets me sexually excited.
Porn is evil and has no place in western civilization.
Thanks for your comment. I wish more people would see pornography through the lenses of being a weapon designed to undermine Western society rather than some sort of twisted freedom of speech issue. That's how the cultural-marxists framed it decades ago in order to erode Christianity's influence in our country.
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof
What relevance does that have with the discussion at hand? I never claimed that the government should "establish" a state religion. Reread what I've said.
Well..no.
The founding fathers had complete and total free agency to live our lives as we saw fit.
Insertion of any further thought or meaning is in itself perverting their ideals.
It's more nuanced that what you're suggesting. Some of them also repeatedly said how the constitution was only fit for a people dedicated to God.
"Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other." -John Adams
Freedom to speak your mind, freedom to elect your representatives, freedom to choose your religion is different from the freedom to indulge in hedonistic and depraved activities.
