I have to comment again. This woman on the floor being dominated by stretchy pants, has literally 4 LIMBS FREE. Woman on the floor is dominated by FEAR and INTIMIDATION. Stretch pants has ZERO skill, ZERO ability, ZERO anything related to combat other than intimidation.

The only thing I can think she could have done was hit the knee in the opposite direction of the bend. But she could have been afraid if she fought back the whole gang of animals would have attacked and possibly killed her. It’s hard to know the right thing to do in these situations people are caught of guard too.
It is hard to know in these days, I agree. Every good person will only benefit from training in any type of self defense. I remember years ago reading about a woman who did a 2 day weekend workshop on basic self defense. Totally crazy that weeks later she was approached by a man in a park bathroom I think it was, anyway, she said how she used simple moves shed just learned and got away.
And exactly what you said, the risks of today as they are--exactly why its a good time to get trained, even if only a workshop with basic moves.
I’ll bet the gal getting her butt whooped was probably worried that if she did start fighting back and knocked her down then more people would pile on and then she would have been killed or in a coma. I think she was just trying to get the woman off of her not fight her. Seems like she didn’t want to fight just wanted her to stop so she could flee.
