"I, _____, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God."
The ONE AND ONLY Oath I've ever taken and I still take many parts of it very seriously, as do many of my Brothers and Sisters.
"Fat" culture is revolting. I once got seriously chastised on a forum for not agreeing that a very overweight young woman looked beautiful and sexy just the way she was. I merely stated that she was likely to suffer from diabetes, heart disease and depression due to her weight. Also that she looked terrible. She looked like she weighed about 250. My husband, who is quite tall, doesn't even weigh 250.
But above all, my brethren, do not swear, either by heaven or by earth or with any other oath; but your yes is to be yes, and your no, no, so that you may not fall under judgment.
If it's a truly dangerous secret society, getting far enough in to meaningfully infiltrate it would probably involve you raping, trafficking, or murdering people first.
To be honest, if you want to bring it down only way to do so is from inside. (As Commies know and have successfully done in America)
It may be unpleasant but for the long game and greater good, some brave agents might just have to do that to finally end these demons. The kids are gonna die anyway if they are in their grasp and at least if an undercover white hat is doing it they can make it quick and less painful.
And done publicly. Like oath to defend constitution, wedding vows etc are public records so open to all to see where you stand. Secret oaths are of course done in secret.
99+% of all members on lodges and masons are innocent and only guilty in wanting to join a community that might give them a leg-up in life or to do some community service, they don't know any more of the truth than the rest of humanity.
Let's not burn the 'might be witches' in the hunt for the real ones, there is already enough collateral damage, let's not add more carnage to it....
I was in a college fraternity and took an oath. I am an attorney and took and oath. I am a mason and took an oath. None of these oaths conflicted with one another and none prevent me for fighting along side patriots for America and Liberty. All posts like this do is create division based on “i dont understand it cause im not in it and so it’s evil” garbage. This is not to say there aren't secret groups that ARE plotting evil but please spare me the overly broad condemnation.
Same as any fraternal organization, i enjoy being a part of a group of people from vastly different backgrounds both cultural and financial who are all working to be better people and serve our communities better. And everyone is equal when youre there...the wealthy doctor and the poor farmer are both equally respected and valued. A lot of the principles we sought to capture in our founding documents were first found in masonry. Equality among men being chief among them. You can see how this affected the founders who were masons view of claims of royalty by the king and the idea of the monarchy having power over the regular people.
So everyone talks about 33rd degree. Let me break it down. Everyone who becomes a mason starts in a regular lodge chartered by that State’s Grand Lodge. You go through 3 degrees which when you are done with you are a Master Mason and are as high up as a mason can go. From there, there are other appendent bodies the 3 most prominent being Scottish Rite which has degrees 4-33. York Rite which doesn't number its degrees but instead names them such “Royal Arch degree” etc., and The Shrine which is who puts on the Shriner Circuses and funds the Shriner Hospitals. None of the degrees people go through in any of these bodies makes them higher up. They are considered lateral degrees or supplemental. You can choose to join one appendant bodies, some, all or none. Its all about what you want. Scottish Rite focuses on the Philosophical, York Rite on the Christian Spiritual and The Shrine on Charity. Its sort of like after you complete your main journey you get to choose what else to explore and be involved in afterward.
Definitely. When the Interwebz was still fairly young I noticed that if anyone anywhere - chat groups, news or blog comment sections, etc.... - mentioned freemasons, once of them would show up within five minutes ready to defend their Satanic club. Freemason evangelists.
It was pretty creepy. It's not like those comments were spidered by the search engines 1 minute after being posted, which made me wonder how they did this, how they knew, and how many of them are/were parked all over the web stalking comments and conversations?
A society's purpose should be obvious, and they should be easily judged for what they have done in the world.
Do NOT let folks convince you that every little thing should be made public. There are predators out there that will hunt and destroy honest charity work, I have seen it first hand. It's breathtaking to watch, but any work of God is a work the devil will attack.
Aren’t the white hats their own secret society? Like I get what you means in terms of all the stuff we’re learning but the only reason we’re learning of it is because of the good secret societies (Q, MJ12, Wizards and Warlocks, etc)

We need to edit it with "Legally Elected President .." and have the military re-take the oath. The lib's would be giving birth to literal cows. lol
Not surprising. Just about all liberal women I’ve met are literal cows already.

Meh. Most of us aren't owned by the POTUS (enlisted contractually) any more but the Constitution stands above all other "allegiances".

Ah but what about James 2:15?
James 2:15
"Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food."
What does this have to do with swearing an oath? I'm lost here, fren.
I'm sorry fren, I was just playing! That verse has tickled me ever since I saw it just ends abruptly; your James 5:12 just made me think about it!
You can't serve two masters. I have serious doubts about any oaths at this point and avoid them.
Pure evil, their day will come, God wins, darkness cannot live in the light.
What if your infiltrating said secret society?
If it's a truly dangerous secret society, getting far enough in to meaningfully infiltrate it would probably involve you raping, trafficking, or murdering people first.
That's how they weed out the good guys.

I guess they take the oath with fingers crossed to negate it?
The very word "secrecy" is repugnant in a free and open society; and we are as a people inherently and historically opposed to secret societies, to secret oaths and to secret proceedings. Feel free to post your banking and firearms info
The oath (along with everything else they've touched) has been perverted.
An oath to a secret society is a threat to remain in it (often on pain of death)
An oath for good is taken willingly and held to a higher value- it is not so easily relinquished as it stands on firm ground.
And done publicly. Like oath to defend constitution, wedding vows etc are public records so open to all to see where you stand. Secret oaths are of course done in secret.
What if we started our own secret society to counter the other secret societies?
With blackjack! And hookers!

Why are you a Mason? Like, what is the benefit or draw to such a thing?

Kay. Do you guys know anything about the 33rd etc?

Absolutely. George Washington was of the highest level Masons that can be obtained. Please tell me of his evil and horrible deeds.
Judge a tree by the fruit it bears. An evil tree, cannot bear good fruit; nor a good tree bear ill fruit.
Who are you speaking to? I doubht any of us here did that
I’m sure the one eyers keep some watch on us.

I remember those times as well. Lightening speed with their rebuttal.

An oath of fealty, from the Latin fidelitas (faithfulness), is a pledge of allegiance of one person to another.
