I went to a King County (read:?) Home Depot yesterday, walked mask-free into the outdoor garden center area first, chittin’ the chat with a (masked but) helpful employee; good times, no hassle, I’m liking this.
And then I asked, in earnest (if also contemptuously dismissive) curiosity, “so are they still doing that mask thing inside?”
His reply was “Well, if you’re vaccinated, it’s up to you.” And with that, my [child] and I went inside, strode the aisles for 1/2 hour, free-breathing like kings (or, really, just like actual human beings used to do), hoping that just one of the still-masked shuffling sheep would say something to my handsome, glorious uncovered face… in which case I could then helpfully educate them on the “new rules”. Nobody did. Sigh.
So thank you Donald Trump for the warp-speed vax or whatever. Hell no, I ain’t taking it, and I’ll inject a bureaucrat with lead before I let them inject my kids with this grotesque science experience. But it has hilariously defanged the maskhole totalitarians, even in a risk-averse chain store in blue-hell King County.
And the smile-inducing kicker is that, despite probably 95% of the people in the store having already been jabbed, 95% of the people in the store were amazingly still wearing masks… and the 5% who weren’t were probably the same 5% who haven’t been jabbed. ? Sheep gotta sheep, and real humans gotta breathe free.
And yes, of course the totalitarians will likely soon realize the reality, that the free people are reclaiming their freedom, while they are still humiliatingly chained to fear. And so they will indeed likely try to push some “vax passport” just for the transparently-obvious sake of control. But it’s too late. There’s truly no going back.
Also… at the same time, it’s becoming more and more clear every day that the cabal has been epically set up, and are going to be smashed in short order. Totally.
I love it when a plan comes together.
During the entire pandemic my wife and I have never worn a mask. We refused to. We go all the normal places and if they are assholes we just leave and shop somewhere else.
The only really bad encounter was a barista in Charleston SC. He demanded a mask after I had endured the wrath of folks all day... bad timing. I admit it, I lost it with this guy. Told him to fuck off and walked out. He followed me... his 2nd mistake. I was highly irritated. So I told him A) I wasn't going to wear a mask and he could not make me, and B) I wasn't going to move from his table on the sidewalk. (My wife was freaking... she has never seen me angry -EVER, after 10 years of marriage). So looked him dead in the eye with my "Make my Day" look and said "Make me Pal!"
He never gave up. A lot of barking. I really think I was about to hit this guy and my wife grabbed my arm and drug me away. I haven't been in a fight since grammer school. I am about as laid back as they come. I just don't do angry by choice. But ya know, enough is enough.
This was my Christmas tree shopping. At an OUTDOOR nursery!
I heard there is an art form to not throwing the first punch. NEVER go first.
Same here neighbor. Oregon does scare me a bit. Im glad I live with Sheriff Snaza as my guy. Had a great time hanging out with him and tons of the local leos at the back the blue in adna last weekend.
Nice. Yeah, if King County is giving way, I just have to presume it's saner everywhere else... except f'ing Oregon. ?
And "masks are strongly encouraged" reads to me as "only homos wear masks." (And I genuinely mean no offense to our homosexual fellow pedes. After all, I didn't write those signs! I'm merely just the messenger, providing an honest translation.)
lolololol
Went to target in Pierce county, Washington..south of king county...and they had a sign at the door saying masks are highly recommended for people who are unvaccinated. Everyone in the store had a damn mask on. I swear people are crazy...no one is paying attention to the fact that they can de-mask! I just don't get it!!
In Indiana, when they ended the mask mandate, it took about two weeks to find a majority of the people in a store without a mask. It's like the habit took time to die.
They all now have sores on their faces, and are reliant on the masks that caused them to cover them up.
It’s a weird psychological prison these people are on. Like the story of an elephant who has been chained for a long time. One day they unchain him, yet he remains near his tether, unaware that he could escape.
I can't wait for the cabal to crash and burn. Metaphorically speaking.
Amen!
Although I hear Minecraft just released a new "Cabal Crash & Burn" content pack... in case you weren't metaphorically speaking.
lol
Thought I read yesterday that Inslee is implementing a vaccine passport that employers can use for their employees. He’s still a fascist dictator.
Oh, 100% he is a dictator.
Washington State is truly The Fascist & the Fear-iest.
I also believe Inslee's going to be in prison soon, so...
Fuck prison. I want him fed to Orcas or thrown off the Space Neddle.
Yup. Just waiting for someone to give me shit as I shop mask free. Disappointingly no one asks. All the better.
My wife ran errands for me this last weekend - she went mask free and said not many others. But we are based in facts no fiction.
Oh, I'm a West Coaster at heart. I hate bugs and humidity, and I've lived around blunatics all my life, so I've built up my immunity to them. It's a trade-off that has worked for me, and I still like where I live a lot, and the opportunities are good here... but I will move (to the Great State of Idaho, probably) if Marxism starts to becomes a bigger direct threat to my kids.
For someone from somewhere else with a higher tolerance for bugs and freezing/sweltering weather, there might likely be better, cheaper, saner places to live than western Washington, for sure. (And yes, it's grayer here around Seattle than many other places here in the winter, but it's far better than the stereotype and is fantastically outdoor-usable all year long. And the falls are nice, if short, and the spring is glorious, and the summers are just perfect.)
Now Eastern Washington is entirely different; seemingly as based as anywhere in the country. Certainly cheaper, on the whole. Weather a little more variable. Very different than on this side of the Cascades, but IMHO wonderful. However, it's still currently ruled by Jay Inslee and the Democrat Dicktators. Which is sad and disgusting.
Can I ask where you might be considering moving to WA State from? Depending on what you're looking for, I'll put in a possible plug for Idaho (yes, it's a big, varied state, but I'll generalize it as just "Idaho" for this purpose) - whether northern Idaho or southern, that lovely state possesses an attractive combination of factors that appeal to me.
Cheers!
Don’t move here. We have the weakest State GOP in the country. This state is beautiful but rapidly becoming a shithole. Avoid King County like it’s AIDS
Detroit
Because you might get literal AIDS if a junky pokes you.
The only good thing that could have come out of this would have been if covid wiped out the homeless lol
Lol
Holding the line here in Kittitas County. The westsiders are taking over Cle Elum-Roslyn though. Some of them are conservative King County refugees but a good amount of them are Bellevue/Mercer Island/Issaquah limousine liberal vermin.
Jay Inslee supposedly bought property in Tumble Creek in Cle Elum. I want to get a band of Patriots together to harass him until he sells and leaves. We fucking hate him out here.
We are holding our own, here in Columbia county. Still red. Feels like the 101st in the Bastogne at times. Always on the frontlines here.
It's beautiful here and you could help flush out the shit! We'd love to have you!
Do not move to Washington if you value your freedom. More shit coming. I promise.
To which you could call them an anti-vaxxer lol
Hate to burst your bubble but when the vaxxed start dropping like flies this winter, they will blame the unvaxxed, and declare a need for proof. The vax passports will be required under king inslee.
