His name was Andrew Budenz, his wife is Jenn Budenz, and their son's name is 'AJ' (Andrew, Jr.). Andrew Budenz died in a tragic motorcycle accident outside of San Diego, and is buried at Miramar National Cemetery in San Diego (as pictured here back in 2014).
My grandfather served in World War II. He came home alive but damaged. He went to alcohol. We lost him in a drunk driving accident; one car, thank goodness no one else was hurt.
He was the life of my family. I would have greatly benefited from having that man in around, If only he was in my father's life even, it would have trickled down in some way.
I definitely feel like the war killed him. I feel like a lot of us suffer from the PTSD of war, even if not directly. It is all around us in some way or another.
No, you're not an idiot. A Vet dying in a motorcycle accident as a civilian back in the United States has nothing to do with those who served and died in the line of duty - which is who we honor today. Many Gold Star Families would take offense at this photo being used in this way. It's disingenuous, to say the least. Blame the San Diego Tribune which took this, and other photos, and published them just before Memorial Day 2014 (and perhaps even Jenn Budenz, who took part in the photo-op at her husband's grave site - there were other photos similar to this taken at his grave).
Shame on you. Shame on you for trying to dilute the heartbreaking misery that soldiers' wives & families experience. This photo is symbolic, not "newsy". The only thing I can add to your self-serving "information" is that if anyone feels the pain seeing this image, understand that it's even WORSE when they're killed on a tour of duty. Enjoy your pathetic upvotes. I'm happy there's hardly any.
Thanks for explaining. I do feel very sad for the woman and baby, And for all people who perish too young, especially leaving a family behind.
But today most of all I feel sad for all those who lost family in the line of duty. I thank all who served for their sacrifices to protect our rights to free speech and a free country and free religion and more freedom than ANYWHERE else.
it's hard to grasp the reality of this picture with a dry eye. May God bless this young lady and her little child who will never grow up knowing his or her father. That man is a hero to many every citizen of this country..... even if they don't appreciate what he has done for them.
Beautifully said u/CampbellKitty...death doesn't part us from those we love..we are still connected until we are reunited. I would be the same as this young wife and mother.
May God Bless these Patriots and all of their loved ones who now continuing their lives alone...????
That is a heartbreaking photo, I teared up immediately seeing this. God bless her and her husband and all the others who gave so much. It’s so sad for all the loss of life and infuriating when you realize those wars and conflicts didn’t have to happen and were organized by globalists for their nefarious agendas. They will answer justly to our creator.
^^^THIS^^^ I remember after 9/11 when so many were inspired to enlist and fight for their country. It seriously pisses me off to no end how they were able to manipulate emotions to accomplish their evil goals.
Many won't suffer the consequences here on earth. But their souls got hit hard with every death, injuries (mental and physical) and hearts broken through loss. At some point, they will have to account for their actions.
There is this infinity sign again on the stone like with Trump on the photo at the grave of Jesse Spade. I can't read the name. From when is this picture?
absolutely heartbreaking. God bless this woman and child who's lives will never be the same. these are trying times, but we've experienced great turmoil in the past. because of these great sacrifices of brave men and women, we will rise again, stronger than ever. thanks to all for their service and may God Bless America.
Have you thanked a veteran today? I had the pleasure of shaking hands with two at the store. Go out of your way if necessary. They sure as hell went out if their way for you.
This is why we must expose and destroy this evil, corrupt system which is predicated on stolen elections. Without fair elections and representative governance, their sacrifice will be in vain.
She and her child cannot get any closer to their husband/father now. You're way out of bounds with this comment. Maybe confused with not stepping/walking over strangers graves; this is very different.
That's fair; my comment may have been overly harsh to you - if so, apologies. And, appreciation for the sane, calm discussion. Seems hard to find these days. Cheers!
Powerful video of their sacrifice. And of the Mansions of the Lord

Maybe I'm an idiot but what does a motorcycle accident have to do with memorial day?

Facebook misses you....
I never said there weren't. I honor and appreciate them and that fact today (and every day). ??
There have been many thousands. Yet, you couldn't find a photo of one of them to share here.
It's not that difficult - 90% of these men who made this landing - KIA. ??

More of their photos from that same photo shoot seen in the San Diego Tribune's article.

You're welcome. ???

This image is too powerful. I feel for the loved ones that's been left behind ❤️
Fuck potatus and camel toe ?
Beautifully said u/CampbellKitty...death doesn't part us from those we love..we are still connected until we are reunited. I would be the same as this young wife and mother.

That hit me right in the feels. Feels like I fell off my chair into a vat of freshly grated onions.
We salute you, all you ladies and gentlemen, who gave your life to protect us and our freedoms, or lost your loved ones to battle.
To the family in this picture there is nothing i can say that will take such pain away, save that the days of the endless war will be over soon.
Now if you will excuse me, i need to dry the tears from my eyes....

This pic makes me tear up everytime I see it.
Damn, that one hits the feels.

In this case, I think the infinity sign is to represent the Eternal Life on which he has embarked.
Saddest picture I've ever seen.

Oh my God, my heart is in a million pieces. I wish I could sit next to you and hold you. God, please give this family comfort.
So sad and for what
These two are the epitome of disgusting! Can't wait until their evilness is revealed for all to see!
Not to take away from the picture but Cameltoe and SleepyJoe are not in charge of the military and thus have nothing to say on this special day.
Some gave all
Earn their sacrifice folks...
Oh, my heart breaks for her and her baby. May the Good Lord bless them.
Have you thanked a veteran today? I had the pleasure of shaking hands with two at the store. Go out of your way if necessary. They sure as hell went out if their way for you.
This picture kills me everytime I see it. God bless them...always. ??
God bless you and your husband and your precious baby. we love you so much, hope you can feel it
My heart is crying.
All, have a Solemn Memorial Day!

The new boyfriend took the photo.
omg isn't it disrespectful lying on top someone's grave???
She and her child cannot get any closer to their husband/father now. You're way out of bounds with this comment. Maybe confused with not stepping/walking over strangers graves; this is very different.
I dunno, I was always taught not to walk over or step on someone's grave. This pic makes me uncomfortable.
That's fair; my comment may have been overly harsh to you - if so, apologies. And, appreciation for the sane, calm discussion. Seems hard to find these days. Cheers!
We're all frens here, chum :)
It depends on your intentions- are you stomping or being rude? Or are you mourning and being sensitive.
The last couple funerals I attended were set up right on top of other graves. There was the big carpet thing down but still.
