No, nobody has implied that from our side.
It's just the receptor that is very similar, because maybe somebody wanted to elicit a similar level of virulence. Playing with HIV and SARS receptors were in Wuhan lab's gain-of-function research, and research papers have been published.
AIDS is not naturally occurring. The WHO helped develop it as a method of depopulation.

Wasn't this mentioned by that Chinese Virologist woman who defected to the USA? I think she mentioned something along the lines of while also being developed for military reasons, another application that was explored was the creation of an HIV/AIDS vaccine, if memory serves.

Whether or not HIV is man-made I don't know, but what that specifically is implying is more along the lines of taking a partial structure from a pre-existing virus & utilizing that to modify/code a new virus.
Taking a virus and 'splicing' it with another virus is a lot more viable and efficient method to engineering a virus than coding a completely new virus/modification for a virus from the ground up. That's my understanding at least.
This is exactly what "gain of function" research does. It is very dangerous research, which is why it was banned in the US, and then relocated to the chinese lab in Wuhan instead (along with the funding).
The fact he hasn't already been arrested for perjury based on his outright lies to congress proves the cabal is shielding him from real consequences still.
