My wife and I had the same issue in AZ. We were picked up by Uber and the driver started yelling at us about political differences. Then he wanted to drop us off at a dark corner in the middle of no where. We refused to exit the car and started filming him. He said he was then going to drop us off at a hospital close by. On the way he called the police and said we were trying to attack him through this huge plastic shield. When we got to the hospital, he jumped out of his car and ran across the parking lot screaming like a little bitch. The police arrived and he told them what had happened. We were setting on a bench by the front door of the hospital. When the police came to talk to us they chuckled. We told them we support the men in blue, they smiled and said, have a safe trip home. Uber contacted us and scolded us for not wearing a mask. I have never and will never wear a mask, especially when they try to force me. These people are stupid!!
When this is all over they will expect us to accept their apologies and buisness as usual. It will sound like "We were only following CDC guidelines" the fact of the matter is, all these leftist infested companies were the ones tasked with enforcing the draconian fear tactics. It angers the soy in their system to see us not comply but more than that, they see we are NOT ONE BIT SCARED. Once the dam breaks and all is revealed these companies must cease to exist. APOLOGIES NOT EXEPTED.
Uber and Lyft are both cabal controlled companies. They are free to hurt their business by insisting on masks. I don't think government needs to get involved.

My car broke down some months back, tow trucks all wouldnt take passengers and not a single taxi/lyft/uber will come pick you up from the side of the road.
that was a fun day, also all the tow truck places were closed from 11pm to 6am. my work shift started at midnight. so i sat on the side of the road from 1130 pm till 8am when i found out i had to discover my own way home.
what didnt help was that i did not know any of this until to tow guy finally showed up and AAA just kept telling me someone was on the way when they would check up.
Not that you want to have to resort to it, but I am pretty sure that if offered, it is highly likely that any one of these "masked" crusaders would cave to the almighty dollar.

As I took the overpass that goes over the freeway to the airport, the sheer number of plastic bottles filled with urine that had been tossed out the window onto the road was disgusting. That is one thing about CV that has been a plus. All those damn cars are gone.
The only conclusion I can gather is they don't want to pay to park and go find a place to pee. There were drivers where all they did was back and forth to SFO.
That and/or just lazy. I live in a small unincorporated area not too far from SF. Kind of an odd development that is maybe 80 acres total surrounded by suburbs. No county street lighting so it can get pretty dark. Because of that, people dump all kinds of crap around here under cover of dark. Pre-CV, we would get Uber drivers from out of area sleeping in their cars along one side of the property. Same thing - dump their garbage to include piss bottles.
I don't begrudge anyone trying to make a living, but I draw the line at you treating my property as your private garbage disposal.

I'm not a masker and I drive for uber and never require people to wear mask BUT Uber is a private business and should be able to do what they want. They TOLD you before you ordered the ride that masks are required. It's not new. They don't owe you a ride. They are doing what the majority of drivers want. That driver that was insistent on you having a mask probably wouldn't be driving if there wasn't a mask requirement. Most people aren't awake and you are a GUEST in his car, he doesn't have to share YOUR viewpoints in HIS car.
It's a service and currently a requirement (that I disagree with) is wearing a mask just like taking an airplane. If you don't want to do that then drive yourself or find a mask optional taxi cab service.

If available, take cabs - at least here in Louisiana, I have yet to find a cab driver that wasn't super based. Great conversation, more comfortable cars, no masks, and about the same price.
My friends and I have a couple of our favorite cab driver's cell numbers, we just call them when we need a ride. Awesome people.
