No they're not stupid. They think their plan will work. The owners of cmt couldn't give two fucks about cmt or anyone who works there or their customers.
They're betting they can take a loss there, use propoganda to shape culture and therefore reality, and pick up gains elsewhere.
If anything it just tells me they're pulling out all the stops. We're on the precipice and only one team will win.
How I miss the days of turning on CMT and watching song videos by people I enjoyed very much. I should have appreciated it more at the time because those time are gone, gone, gone. Woke-ism in interjected into every damn thing and even the sexy cowboy singers have Gays flirting with them in videos. BARF. Every single thing is an illusion.

Why do all the big companies feel compelled to take a position? What happened to just remaining neutral? If I wanted to watch that award show it would be to escape for a bit. Country music is garbage anymore. There have been a couple here and there that are kind of traditional. Shania was right at the start of it, but she sure as hell contributed to this cross over garbage that is country today. It reminds me of the George Jones "Whos gonna fill their shoes?" song, no one, thats who....

I laughed so hard when I saw an article on this. I was on the phone with my daughter and asked her how stupid is CMT to promote gun control? Do they not understand who their audience is?
