My family had ABC news on, and I just heard them say that because of the heat wave “People should brace for potential blackouts.” Meant to warn the public of what’s coming with more innocuous reasoning?

California had rolling blackouts last summer and based on what I've heard from someone who lives in CA, they're now being asked to conserve energy, so likely rolling blackouts are on the way again this summer. It could just be something like that, or it could be something more nefarious.
Plausible deniability is cancer.
I just hope they don't firebomb us again.
I never even heard of ercot til that winter storm bs and now they’re telling us that it’s gonna be too hot in Texas for the power to work?!?! It’s fucking summer time you commie faggots
It’s bullshit. We’ve had hotter summers than this here in Texas with no power issues.
Well now you have half of California living there.
I'd be willing to bet my murderer-Governor, Andrew Cuomo is wishing he could find a way he could justify rolling blackouts.
I'm so sick of being ruled by psychopaths.
I can hear him and his brother doing a schtick on saving power and how blackouts are cool.
Get the swamp cooler and the backup genny/fuel ready.
I don't know about you, but the weather is pretty glorious where I live right now.
This happens every year in CA.
Last year Fraud Newsom said we had to have rolling blackouts to prevent the "Climate Change Wildfires". BULLSHIT! The wildfires were set by ARSON!
Arsonists were arrested (looked like Antifa) and piles of spent fireworks were found in burned forests. Antifa actually filmed themselves "helping firemen" but were laughing inside their vans which were full of propellants. Antifa types caught walking in rural areas with nothing but matches.
Why are you watching ABC news?
Family does. They're some of those weird people who think that the media are liars but still care about what they say on the nightly news.
Reaching. We have had "blackouts" of power here in SoCal for the 35 years I've lived here, happens almost every summer. Particularly in drought years like this one. There were blackouts in the Texas State owned and maintained grid last winter, remember?
Totally fair. Just keeping people aware because we know to look for signs of upcoming blackouts. Could be nothing beyond the norm, but just thought that it might be relevant. We've seen things like this before where government agencies sent out social media warning about black outs, and obviously those didn't turn out to be anything. I still think it's useful to note those.
