I was picking up food a few days ago. Sign on door said masks were required. I went in anyway (I didn't have a mask). Inside literally no one was wearing a mask. As I was waiting a couple came to the door and stopped dead in their tracks outside - the one apparently told the other to go fetch masks from their car. People inside watched them with a mix of disdain and pity.
I'm so glad you get to experience this. Its how its been in Indiana for most all the pandemic. Required signs everywhere but no one truly cared. Not once was I confronted, and only two stores really enforced it, and one, if you took the mask off in the store, they didnt say anything.
Yep, except Parkview hospital system will deny service, to this day if you won't pull the diaper over your face! We were told "you can leave" just two weeks ago of we didn't put them up soy daughter could get a leg x-ray to rule out a fracture.
Both Parkview and Lutheran are in it up to the gills.
Both have good individuals working, but the top is just as rotten as anywhere else.
I guess the allure of free money for covid deaths is too much for some people not to be trapped.
My big thing is, what about doctor's oath? How are they getting away with labeling any death as covid. Are they actually falsifying death certificates, or is it additional, administrative filings that just claim covid as CoD? I'm guessing latter as so many are being found out and corrected after-the-fact.
Low level employees/coroners/nurses/doctors may be ok, but higher you go into the administrative staff, the more corruption.

We even had a local doctor falsifying Covid diagnoseS. The Amish caught on and we're pretty upset. He ended up getting Covid and was pretty serious for awhile before he recovered (he's in his 70-80's and should have retired long ago)
Went to Vons in a South Bay city in L.A. I was going happy feet in and saw a guy with a beard coming out and gave him a thumbs up and a smile - he stared straight ahead. NP. Go in a get the couple things I needed, Checked out and all the employees are wearing mask, but no put your mask on compliance demands. But I think I only saw one other customer in the store without a mask, and it was about 5 p.m. Most people are still in their own little panic world here. Sigh. Latest is Newscum wants to roll out a voluntary vax ID, so we know if it becomes mandatory the non vaxed will get treated like Jews in 1938 Germany. We'll see. I'm just glad there's lots of red States to flee to if it comes to that. It's easy for those who don't live here to say "stay and fight" Thing is, I'm not going to literally die fighting the brain washed when I can live in freedom. I choose to believe the audits and the plan will work. I just hope it's by this summer. The effect of liberty will eventually come to So. Cal. If not then tick tock tick tock for the unvaxed living in L.A.
So I'm curious about something, OP. Here in the red areas of the country, when people stopped wearing masks we pretty much left the maskers alone. You report seeing maskers get mocked. Is that kind of disdain for maskers common among the unmasked where you are? I'm wondering if blue-state recently-unmasked are turning out to be less tolerant than the red-state ones.

I wouldn't harass anyone for wearing a mask. I've gone through a year of being on the receiving end for not wearing a mask in stores and I wouldn't wish that on others.
I went to a supermarket and was scolded very rudely by an old security guard. I explained the mask mandate has been lifted but no use. I was really mad but I held my tongue. didn’t feel too great the whole day ?
Last week I stayed at a Doubletree hotel in Pennsylvania. Sign at the door and all over the place stating guests were still required to wear masks. I went in without one. Check-in clerk was wearing one. Never said a word. Hotel nearly full, I saw maybe three people wearing masks. By the end of the week no one was, not even staff. The signs remained.
People are waking up, realizing what bullshit all of this was, and is.

My state did away with all of it (except gov buildings) and most still mask even to walk on the sidewalks lol.
