I don't think it's because they don't watch/read/think, but that they can make mistakes (which is clear from a casual browse of the logs at any time). The problem is that they tend to be a bit too wrapped up in their own egos to admit they make the mistakes as often as they do.
Personally, I think there would be a lot more respect for them if they made more of an attempt to say, "Look, you're right, that was a mistake. We work for free, and have a shit load of comments and posts to wade through, so this kind of stuff is bound to happen. We'll correct it; no hard feelings."
Moderation is tough, especially because the rules (imo) are too strict. Opposing views are often not allowed, which means they have to filter intents as well as content. I think everyone on this board has been accused of being a shill, glowie, etc., so if we can't even get a consensus on posters' intensions, how are the mods supposed to? They just have to guess. Sometimes they're right, sometimes they're wrong.

Moderating is a pretty thankless job. Mistakes happen, but does not necessarily mean don't read, watch or think. Making a post just to attack the Mods seems a bit churlish.

Yea, I'm religious myself and like getting into discussing the whole spiritual aspect of the battle, how the Bible addresses the exact same group of people doing the exact same evil things, but I would agree that the vast majority of the religious posts don't belong.

Some might be shills but I'm sure a lot are simple minded people that are excited to see many in the community turn religious over everything and are treating this place like a church community.
