I think we have to be very careful with these kinds of analyses. Do we know what other substances look like under electron microscope? How do we know the two look "similar" enough to be the same. When we look at an X-Ray, we have no idea where the fracture is, because a lot of lines looks similar.
I think this is one of those things where they are setting us up to look stupid.
