I saw Brett change overnight. I was so angry at Fox after Election Night we canceled the cable shortly after. It has been wonderful, the tv is not on and we are not watching garbage. More money and more family time as an added bonus.
We did the same shorty after election night. Cut the cord and don't miss it at all. it's funny when we go over other homes and they are watching the woke ad filled shows.
OK but the sanctimony of non-TV owners is a little humorous. For example, my wife and I enjoy the heck out of shows about the cosmos, how the universe works, the oceans, the natural world, we've seen inside rare birds' nests, underground lairs of exotic mammals, scenes inside active volcanoes, and undersea visions and vast vistas in countries and on planets we never would have experienced without the wondrous miracle of TV and cable, yes that's right, cable TV.
Plus we're rabid fans of the local (back-to-back Stanley Cup champion Tampa Bay Lightning) hockey team and enjoy watching all their live games on our TiVo. We enjoy the commercial-free life and learning a ton every day by choosing educational and stimulating programs.
So, not all folks with cable TV are completely out of it after all :) Don't worry, we'll be dead soon. Not soon enough for the deep state, but soon.
I threw out my TV 30 years ago because it just seemed like a bunch of idiots yelling at me. I am starting to think that that is a big reason why I and others who have turned off their TV don't even begin to get caught up in the BS - because we don't see it.
It's not sanctimony - it's gratitude that I can have a somewhat clear head. Prior to the plandemic, I could not sit around in car dealer/ medical / whatever waiting rooms because I so hated being shouted at. So I always had to walk around or go outside.
I love to watch the nature and science shows like you do, but I find plenty to choose from on the internet where I can watch them when I want to, and without commercials. Fortunately, you don't have to watch broadcast/cable TV to see these things anymore.
Maybe, but no live local hockey on internet = cable TV subscription
We literally switched cable providers from Frontier FiOS (100% reliable) to Spectrum broadband (100% shit) because Frontier dropped the contract for our local hockey games

If i go to someones house i straight up ask them to turn off the TV so it doesnt distract us from our conversation.
I can’t stand the woke commercials! So happy not to be supporting that madness.

Why do you think I watch commercials when I explicitly stated the opposite
We don't enjoy watching the PC. And "almost" doesn't include local hockey games. End of story.
The sanctimony comes in the frequent inference that those with cable TV "NEED TO CUT THE CORD"
LOL no need. No desire even.
Watch anime, it's much better entertainment.
