This movie is the latest manifestation of that obsession. But the people who have kids in the target audience saw the Michael Jordan version, they have no interest in this version. Why? Because Michael Jordan had and has something Lebron does not, a sense of joy that made watching him joyful. Lebron doesn’t have that, but he can’t see it or admit it to himself.
If I may add to that - Michael Jordan was not only (and still is) the best basketball player in American history, but he had dignity and respect for his country. You would never see Michael Jordan bend over and take it in the ass by China and publicly denounce our right to free speech. Michael Jordan stayed out of politics and didn't try to shame half the country over just loving our country and freedoms. That's why MJ was and always will be THE REAL KING OF BASKETBALL. And LeBron is a pussy nitwit piece of shit asshole who blames all his own shortcomings on this "racist" narrative because it's easier than looking in the mirror and seeing for himself what a piece of communist trash he has become.
I used to root for that asshole. When he left Cleveland the first time, I defended him when the whole damn city was mad at him. I said, "look, he still donates bikes to these inner-city kids in Akron." He sent a literal truckload of supplies to New Orleans when Katrina hit - rented a box truck, filled it with necessities from Sam's Club like paper towels, bottled water, deodorant, soap, shampoo, nonperishable food, etc. He used to be a good person. What a shame.
