They are both decisions based on fear if you want to look at it that way. We all decide Our own risks in life, but either way we risk something.
More specifically, sheep vaccinate because of irrational fear of a virus which is statistically harmless to the vast majority of the population.
Researched knowledgeable people don't vaccinate because of knowledge of the dangers of the untested experimental messenger RNA delivery system which most people mistakenly refer to as a vaccine.
No one has the time to research everything. Most people ask an expert which air conditioner to buy. They don't have time to research it themselves. They ask a doctor for medical advice because they don't have time to figure it out for themselves.
We're only skeptical because we've seen how the narrative is controlled and know we're in an information war. People who don't know that will do some internet searches and read a dozen blogs, medical journals, news articles, talk to their doctor, and get entirely one-sided information. We know you have to use alternative search methods to even find the other side of the story.
The problem isn't that people are ignorant. It's that truth is actively denied to them even when they ask for it and lies are packaged as truth.

Although I do think the J&J is probably better than Pfizer/Moderna, it has its own set of problems (heart inflammation, which I think all three have issues with).

Most normies are blissfully unaware that the vaccine has killed over 11,000 people in the US according to VAERS (which historically under-reports). Most normies are unaware the vaccine has killed 6,500 people in Scotland (using the same recording system they used for the WuFlu).
Or I took it to avoid divorce because I love her and my children, and think she needs more time to wake up. And J&J has only been tied to 1 death and 16 adverse events, compared to Pfizer, Moderna, and Astra Zeneca. And this is media reported numbers without solid science tested evidence of what caused the J&J issues. Yep, pretty sure J&J is the placebo of the 4.
I hope so!! My son and his wife took JnJ. I cried for 3 days. Sent him all the info on how it was causing blood clots. Daughter took Moderna against my advice. She just took off and got a free one. She has had several problems, but I am keeping my mouth shut. She wants to do the study abroad and it was the only way. I pray everyone is okay. But they are adults and have to make their own decisions.
I think J&J is the Placebo. My MD told me from his research, it’s a standard flu shot unlike the MnRNA vaccines. But we’ll see in the future. I have faith that God will see fit with me, as he needs.
