If there was a single musical iota of talent in my body, it would be as lonely as can be. I appreciate music and enjoy it immensely, but playing a musical instrument is one of those things that it blesses the world that i don't do. A man has got to know his limitations.
I use mine to help release energy. Been playing for decades, but am still shit. I can bluff my way through most songs that, depending on my mood, I can use as an avenue to express it. Even if that occasionally just means making noise to let out some negative energy in a non destructive way. If you can't work out the muscle memory for barre chords at first, practice those, but also learn power chords. Those are easier alternatives to barre chords, but they don't sound as "full" due to less strings involved. Easy chords to start with are C, A, G, E and D. You wouldn't believe the amount of songs that use only those chords in some combination or other.
Orchestras from different parts of the world, and at different points in Western Civ, have not tuned to A440 so you have something there. "A" does not always equal A.
God's gonna cut you down, by Johnny Cash. Tailor-made for all the DS, commies and traitors
Going by the book is also a good song to describe the general overall situation.
You can run on for a long time.

That guitar only plays Power Chords.
Get a banjo. Everything you play on a banjo is happy. That's what Steve Martin said. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UaGBIfUoB78
🪕👍🏻
Started taking lessons last fall. Best thing ever.
Went ahead and learned how to play the Star Spangled Banner and America the Beautiful in case GEOTUS needs me at his next inauguration. :D
Music self-played is happiness self-made.
🇺🇸🎸👏🏻
Sorry, I have to ! Seems appropriate ( from days gone by) Magic Power - Triumph ( drop the I and H) 👍 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IGtau9p3dP4
Johnny was a young man, when he heard his first Beatles song...
so true everyone was born to play bass
Found an easy one to learn to; wink, wink.

As a professional guitarist, teacher and author... I approve this message!! :)
Guitars take up floor space I don't want to give up. Can I slack and use a kazoo, or harmonica instead?
Thats what I thought, then I hung 7 on the wall. Easy access. 🎸
Absoluely! Although harmonica is no slackers instrument if you want to play it well.
I appreciate where you're coming from, but I'm a drummer. Gonna keep it real with the sticks and skins.
This has been the best thing I started. Helps with focus, mood, and is fun as hell.
Start simple Metronome
Power cords A, D (7, 9) -> (5, 7) (7, 9) * * ~ ~ shift down (5, 7) * * ~ ~ shift back up
Next add string movement (A, D) to (E, A) creating a box movement pattern between all 4 power cords in that area.
Focus on downbeat with a strum, hit the (And) for the upbeat part. Starting out you should be using all downstrokes to get started.
Do: Spider walks, Pentatonic patterns, scales. At to Metronome or beat app like (Drumbeats Plus)
Simple patterns should be done at 60 BMP while working up over time to 130ish.
It takes a while to build up finger strength and the pads on your fingers. A few minutes a few times a day is great.
Sounds like a good recipe for strength and dexterity. Rock On!

Time to dust off my Jackson V 😎

Well stated
When the blackout comes those years in band during highschool will payoff
I got myself a "large" kidney stone that feels like I'm trying to give birth. Does that count? Lol
What is this post even about? It's not about guitar lessons. Sounds like you're trolling here.
