All parents need to write letters, and go to school board meetings. Feel free to copy and use this as a draft. Or write and post your own. We have to band together and stop this madness.

Good afternoon,

My wife and I recently reviewed the letter that was sent out today titled, (omitted for privacy) president's August Letter. We are very disappointed and saddened that a Private Christian School would not take a different stance than any other public school regarding mandating masks. We now see that it is no different than any other school system cowering in fear.

We are the parents of three children that were scheduled to attend RCS in the upcoming school year. We moved our three kids from (omitted for privacy) in April of last year as a hopeful escape from the insanity that has become our school system. We held our tongue and personal beliefs and let the mask mandate play out for the remainder of the year. Now we are going into a new school year, and we cannot be silenced any longer.

As Christians, are we not called to stand up and be courageous, to put our trust in God? Have we not seen enough of this manipulation and slaying of our rights? These rights were given to us by God, not by the state. Our children are being used as political pawns in a game that doesn’t have an end or a set of rules.

We should be the ones in the Christian community to stand up now. As a private, non-state funded school, it appears that (omitted for privacy) is choosing to cower to the state and be a part of the political game. With your current actions, (omitted for privacy) is choosing to take the rights of our children away, including the ability to breath fresh air, learn without distractions and have a normal school year.

We are appalled at your decision and to see your leadership fall right in line with every other organization, instead of providing a refuge of normalcy for our children.

Will the leadership of (omitted for privacy) mandate the experimental DNA altering shots to attend school? We chose to come to a private organization knowing that things could be different, but alas we have been proven wrong by this letter.

We expected that a Christian organization would be different, especially one that does not take funding from the state and parents pay high tuition for. There is something happening within the church right now and we have not found that anyone has the moral conscience to stand up for our children.

We would have loved to voice our opinion at a board meeting, but it is hard to do that when the next meeting is scheduled for (omitted). It seems very strategic that with one of the biggest issues on parents’ minds concerning their children’s education and the next meeting falls after the first tuition payment is due for most. Shouldn’t this call for an emergency board meeting? Do parents' voices and opinions matter to the school and school board?

At the end of this entire ordeal, (and there may be no end) you will be held accountable as to what decisions you made concerning our children. Did you stand up and push back for our children's rights? Or did you cower in fear at the almighty state? As a private organization that claims to be different, the decision should be clear.

Considering that the CDC recommended and did not mandate masks, this leaves the decision up to the school to make the final decision. As educators, we are sure you are aware that the definition of a recommendation is “to suggest an act or course of action”. Have you ever received a recommendation to do something that was awful, or you didn’t agree with? A recommendation does not have to be followed, especially by a private organization, funded by tuition, donations and fundraising.

Since the school uses the CDC guidelines to determine guidance for the school, does it also consider the emotional and physical harm masks cause? All our children have had negative effects from this, and we cannot subject them to “another year of torture”, as stated from one of my children.

We truly hope that parents will use their voices to advocate for all the children at (omitted) and you will take time to reconsider the mask policy for the upcoming school year.

Thank you,
