Based on my experience, those near C-suite seem to be just normal folks grinding along. I think most in C-suite are likely the same, just normal folks with a fiduciary duty to their shareholders which encourages them to grow & maintain big business.
Imho, the issue is politicians getting in bed with corporate leaders & allowing legislation to be enacted which entrenches big business. E.g. tax law (especially international) is, imho, abused to give multinational behemoths an artificial barrier to entry that protects their hegemony.
Additionally, a great deal of stock is managed by a small group of management companies (think 401k's/mutual funds) & those entities effectively control vote results for 'vassal' companies.
In summary, 1) crooked politicians, 2) some crooked C-suites, & 3) control of companies by investment firms not people are some reasons why we can't have nice things.
That's the rub, can't 'take over' because majority of voting rights are concentrated in the hands of big players (investment banks/fund managers/etc). They control the vote for shares in everyone's 401k's & for the wealthy elite. It is virtually impossible to outcompete in the market due to the unfair advantage afforded by kleptocracy.
In order for 'good' businesses to thrive in this environment, consumers must be willing to pay a premium, either through reduced quality/service or higher price. Unfortunately, most necessities are cornered & when economic rug-pulls take place the 'good' businesses get crushed as consumers cannot afford to pay for the luxury of supporting 'good' businesses.
I'll give them credit for being effective evil geniuses.
Imagine if any corporation had their sites shut down, their bank accounts seized, their execs raided and dragged away, and their buildings chained shut for every crime that they were clearly guilty of. In other words, if they were actually expected to follow laws like everyone else.
The world would be so radically different, it would be hard to envisage. Facebook, twitter, google, youtube, all the fake news companies, the criminal big pharma cartels and much else would not exist.
The bigger the crime scale and the theft, the more likely it is that law enforcement will be bribed to let the crime happen. And keep happening. This has been happening for centuries. So in your 'mom and pop' scenario, thats certainly one way of removing the globalist crime influence.
I would be happy to see the US simply return to trade policies pre-Bush/Clinton, that banned US businesses from dealing with communist nations. Nothing good came from ending that, and big corps have all suffered the commie rot from being in contact with commie soul-poison.
What's up with the fasces on the Lincoln memorial exterior? Also, Daniel Chester French's "Abraham Lincoln" prominently depicts fasces on the ends of the armrests.
Just do some research on the local businesses, as well. BEOFRE you patronize their shops. The Devil's in the details. Don't just blindly shop local small businesses. Do your due diligence first.
The thing is buying local only cuts out corporate retail. The corporations still get the other funds from wholesale, manufacturing, distribution... I have always done business localy when possible, but it doesnt eliminate the corporate cuts at each stage...
I worked for a local rental company that was VERY successful, and a great place to work, we were bought out by a national company that respected us enough to use our format for all the other rental stores. Then, an international super corporation came in and dismembered the system stating "Center Rental is dead" and basically went into exploitation mode.. I left after ten great years..
Yep - you would resonate with reading some Murray Rothbard on the subject. It's the government that keeps monopolies intact, otherwise they would fall under their own weight.
True, but mom & pop shops have their downsides too. Many ran their own local monopolies in the places they were in & most were the most aggressive mask enforcers this last year.
You ever notice that every single hardware store that used to be Mom and Pop are now affiliated with either Ace or True Value? The system won't allow a privately operated hardware store anymore.
I've been thinking about this. People in collective groups - ALL GROUPS - turn very evil. All groups go bad. Every one. The bigger they are, the worse they go. I think it is because man's nature is sinful and evil, but as an individual, if he connects to Jesus Christ, he can operate in a just and righteous way. Small groups with each person connected to Christ can also operate in a just and righteous way. Our country was set up to be an organization of small parts - state and local - run by just and righteous Godly people. But we have stumbled over this, and now God has been thrown out. So we end up with large groups of GODLESS people and heaven help us. What they do behind closed doors is worse than our brains can possibly imagine. Whatever you think, it is 100% worse.
Indeed, I always tried, and mostly succeeded at making all my business dealings a happy agreement for all sides. Latest example was selling my rental condo under the condition that my tenant of 11 years would be retained.
While some big chain shopping is hard to avoid (grocery stores or Costco/Sams) but anything else where I can shop local I always do no matter what even if costs a little bit more. 90% or more of the time I've had much more pleasant experiences shopping local than shopping at a chain store.
One of the things I loved about my hometown - (which is in Los Angeles County of all place) is that their downtown area there is rule that every shop/restaurant has to be locally/independently owned. I wish more cities did that
I think they employ largely good honest people but the few "people" at the top are controlled, evil, and may have some sort of lizard DNA lol.

Maybe patriots could take over the businesses and run them democratically with the profits going to them and not the international cabal.

True, if you play by there fixed rule book. What have we got to loose? According to some only our chains.
I'm right there with you, I want to John Galt & manage a small beef herd side-hustling chickens, pigs, & lumber/carpentry, the simple life.
I agree with you 💯. Randian Objectivism is the cure for all that ails middle class Christian America....

The whole world would have more money in their pocket and a higher standard of living.
Doing this would really trigger the left wing commies.
It's true. I read yesterday that only 6 or so companies supply our meat. I decided to research out local farms to buy meats locally.
Or, if you have property consider raising sheep or chickens, and beef and pigs if you have more than 5 acres.
I would be happy to see the US simply return to trade policies pre-Bush/Clinton, that banned US businesses from dealing with communist nations. Nothing good came from ending that, and big corps have all suffered the commie rot from being in contact with commie soul-poison.
Nope. Even further. We need to remove 1871 and 1913.
Can you suggest any good reading on this?
Yes. Research the Act of 1871 and the Federal Reserve Act of 1913
Corporatism and Facism are real.
Kleptocracy
Yep. We haven't been capitalist for a long time.

Yup, Mom and Pop arent always good, but overall a lighter shade of gray than mega-corps

The concentration of power and authority breeds corruption.
This also applies to The News.
Indeed, Education, Healthcare

Christians are also to very much blame for this.
How do you figure?
Joel Osteen.
lol

I am sitting here trying to think of anything goods or services the Cabal isn't getting a cut of... drawing blanks...
