If you’re a young person and have compassion (very important) and a strong stomach (equally important), look for work at nursing homes. They have the money but are very short staffed. The job is not for everyone! She has been puked on, peed on, pooped on, sworn at, you name it! She is basically doing CNA work but without the education. She learns faster by doing anyway.

That’s awesome! I’m proud of her. You’re right, that job is definitely not for everyone. It takes a special person to do it. Congratulations!
Just dont let her spend it on college! Nursing school, yes - if that is her thing, 2 years and she will always have a job.
This will be good work experience for her. $16 an hour is certainly not bad either. Good on you for raising her right. Most parents these days raised their daughters to become okay prostituting themselves on onlyfans.
Not to mention, she is improving her immune response daily. Kek!
That is awesome! Congrats! Crazy times... They are paying my 16 year old son $15 and hour to serve fast food chicken. If you are a kid who wants to work you can make great money right now.
It seems like great money but if you adjust it for time and inflation, 15$ is about equivalent to 1980's minimum wage purchasing power, that's how bad our fiat currency is.
My daughter is 14 and started a job at 16 and hour!! Friggin unheard of for a first job. These kids got it good if they are willing to work.
Suggest to her to invest a portion of her profits. Given the looming market crash ideally:
This will get her, depending on how much she works and saves, a high 5 to low 7 figure sum by her 30s or 40s.
Yup, my daughter, last month did not get a raise but, did finally get medical from her workplace. She has been working overtime to cover for a smaller crew they have lost several over the months and no one is lining up to fill the spots.
Proud of your daughter! You are right, job is not for everyone, takes a well rounded person to both be attentive, caring, understanding and respectful AND able to deal with the stress of loss/death of those you have been caring for.
Health insurance coverage is a huge raise all by itself for one who didnt already have it.
Damn that's good coin for a 16 year old.
Despite the swearing, doesn't sound much different to looking after a newborn.
Holy crap (pun intended) there is a world of difference! Think of the size of adult diaper messes! And the strength of adult dementia patients who don't want those diapers changed! 😳🤢
Newborns are easier to change, if you ask me.......
Everyone who works with integrity and dedication will be rewarded ❤️
Sounds like a day in a Mom’s life.😜
great going. Get your work experience and parallel to that seek out the cheapest way to get the certifications needed
My daughter got a $2 hr pay raise for her entry level job. She is headed back to college and had to train a newbie. The only person they could get was a gal just out of HS and they are paying another $3 hr more— $18 hour! Wow! 😳
She can make that much money in fast food for less stress.
She lasted one day at McDs and hated it. Plus it was minimum wage. This will be better for her life goals as well.
She might be able to take a cna certification class in high school. They'll teach her how to pass her test and maybe even pay for the test. And she might make a buck or two an hour more. And good for her and working toward life goals.
You never worked in the food/restaurant industry. I was an Iron Worker from 05-09 and that was easier and less stressful than being a Line Cook.
I've never been an Iron worker but I don't doubt that. A 16 year old girl wouldn't ever be a line cook though.
More like a cashier or a barista, maybe a hostess.
An amazing young person! One who throws off the temptation to get paid to stay home and instead goes to work! There is hope yet
That $16 will have the purchasing power of $8 before the year is over.
That’s great!
The great things about having your kid working is that they spend their own money on their own crap and appreciate those things so much more.
My local dairy queen is offering 13 an hour too! They are paying high to bring employees in! Take advantage young ones!
Thanks Biden for increasing working class wages!
Nursing homes are pressuring employees to get jab or be fired in AZ
It speaks volumes not only of her doing that work but also the fact that you raised her. God bless the both of you.
They can teach her what she needs to know. How to be safe lifting clients, etc. She will be fine!!
Not worth it if she has to get the jab
She will never get the jab
