These people are STUPID!
Who is the SHILL downvoting....We will find and expose you!
Yeah I thought it looked weird too, but I looked it up and using a crutch like that is an actual thing. https://www.wikihow.com/Walk-With-One-Crutch
I don't understand. If you do that, the injured side still must bear some weight. If you put the crutch on the injured side, you can keep off of it more easily.
Yeah and it is not even october 31st...
probably some neckbeard from reddit who still lives with their mommy
Second tab is anime porn on his screen.
I'm upvoting all the downvotes to correct it. Find the shill!!
Why don't you do some research before blindly following the blind? They're not wrong about it being done that way even if it seems counterintuitive. Do not let your bias get the best of you. Verify your fellow anons assertions and correct the record so when we go out converting normies we don't look like retards for clinging to proofs that are invalid. I literally broke something a few years back that had me on crutches and the only instructions I received were about not putting all your weight on the crutch from your armpit. When I got down to one crutch they never said shit about how to use it that way so this was actually surprising to find out as a person with crutch experience. I'm not saying the boot isn't hiding something. I'm just saying our theory for why the boot isn't legit (crutches misuse) doesn't hold water.
Back off man, she knows what she's doing, she's a "doctor". kek
Read lower comment. She's using the correct way
That being said, even if it is the correct leg, isn't she alternating wrong? Like shouldn't the crutch bear the weight and she effectively drag the injured leg? I mean, shouldn't it be even with the bum leg to take the weight as it's replacement? Not even with the healthy leg?
Yes reduce the weight on the injured/healing limb....even children know
Too many of these people are "hurting" their ankles, don't you think?
That’s how crutches work you lean away from bad leg into good leg and the crutch. You are supposed to do the same thing with a cane. My poor 84 yr old grandma was using a cane wrong for months til I showed the right way. She couldn’t believe it - she was so happy it actually worked and now her back quit hurting! Took me a good 15 mins to convince her at 1st though. 🙄
I think it would depend on how painful the bad leg is. If it is excruciating, you wouldn't want to lean on it at all. If it were merely weaker, your theory might hold for some reason, but it still sounds wrong to me, who has had lots of pain in legs. Ouch!
nah if you’re putting all your weight on your good leg and the crutch as if they are your two main supports then your bad leg is off to the side getting the least amount of weight if you put the bad leg in the center you’re going to be fighting to not put weight on it, go try it yourself if you have a golf club or something lying around flip it over like a cane
Well it’s all based on physics and the body’s physiology. This is what is taught to PTs OTs and other medical staff, however whatever works for you, works for you. 😎
