Yes and imagine how many have been banned or are shadow banned now. Then do not forget all of us that have dropped YT altogether and found places elsewhere that are less tyrannical.
If YT was a truly open forum the ratio would be double. The Truth is libs have always been the minority. They just amplified by the msm, pedowood, etc.
Why do you think most news sites have banned comments? YouTube (Reuters specifically), WaPo, NYT, they all had a comment section on each article, but have since removed. You can control the media, but you can't control the minds. And people sharing how much they disagreed with the news would only spread to more and more. And worst of all (for those in charge), it let the people see just how many of them there truly are.
Much like the Romans rejecting marking slaves with white armbands --the elite cannot let the slaves know just how many of them there truly are.
I recently noticed the comment sections were locked on a LOT of vevo music videos. That means people are talking more in off-topic videos that normies are likely to consume, increasing the risk of redpilling.
Wow youtube comments are mostly based
Because Trump won; we are the majority.

I've noticed that over the last ~2 years the YT comment sections have become more and more based. Especially since Trump "left office".

Despite youtube's best efforts, their userbase is mostly right leaning.
I LOVE IT.
