The only one I never read was Brave New World. I read the others on my own some years after being in the public fool system. Her writing was very thought-provoking and sobering.....still is.
Mine, too! Thank God we had real teachers who loved to teach. We learned real history, real math, great literature and even how to treat others.
We started the each day with The Pledge of Allegiance, a Prayer and then we went to class and behaved or we got our butts beat by the Principal.
We didn't grown up to be thugs.
One of my favorite quotes. Always remember.
One of my Favorite Novels.
By one of my Favorite Authors.
Also 'The Fountainhead'. I read it and the movie is POWERFUL. Saw the film at age 10. Mind. Blown. A lession in INTEGRITY.
Great quote to start the day! Thank you u/7SFG!
I love Ayn Rand books... read them ALL when I was a kid. Recently reread a few of them. Fountainhead got me hooked initially until I read the rest.
I also read the following books when I was in HS: 1984, Brave New World, Fahrenheit 451, and Animal Farm.
Apparently my HS public education was before the leftists took over the schools. It was also before the Federal Board of Education was founded.
The themes in all those novels were like giant red flags for, like OP's title sez for those that see. How many sheep really READ them?
Not sure sheep can read… must do some research

We Loved Our Country. 🇺🇸
In the early 1980s, your parents needed to sign a permission slip so the school could still administer corporal punishment.
We read all those in high school as well.
Times have changed, just like the books warned.
No but I will now!
