I ordered from Valley Vet last last week. I received an email 3 days later telling me they were out of stock. I hung in there and yesterday they emailed me that it has shipped. Neeeeigh!! I mean....woohoo!
Tractor Supply near me had it for sale for way cheap on their site (Like $5.50 each compared to Amazon's $18-20). Downside was, the place was like ten minutes from me but they did not have it on the shelf but offered it for same day delivery for 20 bucks. I bought two delivered to my door the same day cheaper than I would have paid on Amazon, and Amazon wanted me to wait like three weeks to restock, too.
I looked at my local farm store. I was confused because the horse dewormer is fenbendazol but they did have liquid Ivermectin for sheep (the irony). I also noticed a sign the store put up that Ivermectin is not for human use. Bullshit it isn’t. I didn’t know what I was doing, so I panicked and left after a sales associate came up to me to help, with a look like, “hey you don’t look like a farmer”.
I'm a lowly chicken farmer and I don't even wear plaid or boots. No one has ever questioned my Ivermectin or fenben purchases at TS. Just grab what you need and act like you belong there. Pick up some bird seed too, or a dog treat if it makes you more comfortable at the register.
Avoid animal marketed ivermectin that has salicylanilides or closantel in it. There are only 3 manufacturers of all the brands. Bimeda-MTC makes both Durvet Ivermectin and Bimeda Bimectin, which do not contain salicylanilides or closantel. There's an 11 page thread about it all on another site, which has a lot of info.
No need to feel weird about it. Animal owners come in every shape, size, economic level, etc., and they all look different so no one really knows what an animal owner is supposed to look like.
Look at completing a successful shopping trip as taking action to fight back against those who want you ill or dead.
Which reminds me, I need to run up to Tractor Supply or the Farmer Co-Op and get a few more syringes of Ivermectin.
How are supplies? I've heard feed stores are running out.

I ordered some off Amazon this morning.

Get a plaid shirt. Should work just fine. No shade to plaid wear-ers, but all the farmers I know seem to favor plaid.

Edit: Also be sure to read the Ivermectin contraindications before taking.
