This isn't the first. May chronic pain patients have been refused their pain killers by pharmacists. Know why? That God Damned DEA. You the DEA who lets fentynal in and makes tons of money off of it, and at the same time taking down doctors who help pain patients. Believe me, I have serious degenerate bone disease and arthritis from hell, and my doc has to be careful.
Yep! I pray that you heal and find comfort.
I’ve never known a doc that didn’t have a med that was the answer. How often do docs try to wind down their young adult patients off anxiety meds? Never
Ugh I hate saying this but to the DEA's "credit", they've been cracking down on the Fentanyl as much as they could. It's not their fault skeevy ex junkies like me were still able to source the stuff from CHYNAH via the dark web to help satiate our opioid dependencies. I blame the FDA for allowing things like oxycodone that has a 99% addiction rate when insufflated (fucking used to love me some blue roxies), fly around so freely from 2010 and didn't start getting truly difficult to acquire until the Trump administration came along in 2017-2018.
Trump helped me with my addictions in a way. Anyway just food for thought.
Congratulations on going clean! Although I've never been addicted to any drug, I know how hard it is to stay clean! The brain gets re-wired through the addiction, so it becomes a life-long battle. I think pornography addiction may work the same way, in regards to re-wiring of the brain, but I haven't read any studies of that.
Yes indeed. It was the most difficult psychological battle to convince my brain it was possible to feel joy enough in life sober again but if it could happen to me it could happen to anyone. I always found it peculiar that my sobriety marked the very beginning of my own "Great Awakening".
Well done brother! Don't slack off in your resolve to stay sober! There will be tough times ahead where the little voice (or maybe voices) will try to convince you that you can handle just a little of whatever to get through whatever rough patch you are going through. Substance addiction is definitely a way to stay insulated from reality, so going sober opens up the real world, good and bad, but hopefully, the bad becomes much clearer so easier to avoid. Take care!
Sentara owns pretty much all of the healthcare in my area. Their company policy is that they won't allow any doctors to prescribe any pain medication for anything to anyone. The doctors told me I would just have to get used to the pain.
This is such a mess. Whatever legislator(s) did this should be shot. There is no reason that somebody with a valid pain causing medical issue should be denied pain medicine. I pray you get relief.
I have family members in the same boat. The whole concept of DEA is absurd. If someone is doing something illegal, fine, arrest that person. But to let people suffer and create absurd rules for prescribing instead of letting the doctor do their job is absolute evil.

Get the GOVERNMENT OUT OF OUR LIVES.

I work in insurance, so I have to ask questions about medical for underwriting. Anxiety meds are handed out like candy. Mother's little helper...

chronic pain can drive one to suicide.

Yet they wonder why black markets and the dark net drug sites are a thing.
