I hate that phrase "the science has changed." FALSE. Science, by definition, is always static, it never changes, it remains on a fixed course and follows rules set by our One True God. Our understanding of the science is what changes.
Masks work, then they don't work, then they work again? The virus isn't changing back and forth making the masks necessary or unnecessary. We never needed the masks, but it's our understanding of how the virus spreads that caused the shift back and forth. The scientists are misunderstanding (probably intentionally) the "science" by saying we need masks.
It’s inconvenient to use the same word to mean two different things. How about this: there’s “reality”, which doesn’t change, and there’s “science”, which tries to understand, explain, and predict reality. Science accomplishes its goal to varying degrees of success depending on how well the data it’s given represents reality, and on the questions it asks. If science is fed lies and prevented from asking certain questions, science inevitably fails to match reality.
Science is man’s attempt to understand the realities of God and the universe.
Man’s understanding (science) barely scratches the surface of reality.
“Thus says the Lord: “Learn not the way of the nations, nor be dismayed at the signs of the heavens because the nations are dismayed at them, for the customs of the peoples are vanity.”
Jeremiah 10:2-3a ESV
Correct. It's entire premise is that it openly acknowledges it can be wrong - and it will adjust accordingly.
That is why the "TAKE THE VACCINE, IT IS SAFE" mantra is completely unscientific. They didn't do the leg work and are not willing to admit it has fatal flaws.
If a vaccine kills ONE person, i say its unsafe. To a vaccine quack, its ok if a vaccine kills 10,000 people, as long as they believe the vaccine also saved the lives of 10,001 people.
Nobody thinks this except Bill Gates and his ilk. Regular people are under the impression that you get 1 side effect (not even necessarily death) for every 10,000 vaccines and they find that absolutely worth it, especially when it's a personal choice for people to make up their own minds.
The laws of science do not change though. Math is consistent, physics is consistent. Atoms and electrons always act and react the same way, over and over again, that is what makes them static. They follow laws and rules not set forth by us, they have never changed in the course of history. Humans will try to change them but we cannot change their set functions.
How we understand how they work is what changes, and our perceptions of them change. We used to think the sun revolved around the earth. It didn't. But through observation and mathematical studies we were able to change our understanding of how the solar system works and correct our misguided theories. The science didn't change, the earth was always revolving around the sun, but our understanding is what changed.
Science is a method to determine the truth. What the science said 1000 years ago is different from what the science says today. The laws of physics and the truth are what don't change.
They try to “baffle us with bullshit”. They keep telling us conflicting facts, so that we get confused, and unable to make rational decisions. Its a demoralization tactic
Ahh okay I was going to disagree with you but yes, the process of science doesn't change. What we understand about how things work does, through the scientific method.

Exactly why I refuse to get vaccinated. I'm positive the "Science" claiming that the vaccine is safe and effective will continue to change over time.
When someone tells you to trust the science, you tell them you are just waiting for the scientific method to catch up
I refuse to trust eugenicists.
Very streetwise of you!

I'm loving that verse 😇
Right?! fren fist bump for God Jeremiah is my jam right now, God is so good to give us understanding.

“Safe” is a matter of opinion anyway.

Exactly what I was trying to say. The laws don't change, our understanding of the laws is what changes.

Journey vs Destination. Many don't like that because they are not capable of taking that journey,
It does not change. It is either settled, unsettled or “settled” incorrectly. The laws of science do not change.
The laws of physics do not change. Our understanding of them does.
Which of these is science?
