Lifelong Texan here. Yes, kind of. So freaking crowded. Roads are a mess. Housing is sky high and so are property taxes. Tennessee looking good.

Ayy found the real texan. I hate these transplants but they provide soooo much of my work. I can always tell when they keep their mask on while we work but have lost the will to push it on us. One literally picked one up off the floor before walking 3 feet over to talk to us because he couldn't find a clean one. It's really really strange since we literally told him don't worry about it but his wife gave him that look.
They drive alone down 35 with the windows up, wearing N95, going 45 mph and weaving. It's crazy.
For reference interstates in Texas have a 75 MPH speed limit. So you get 80-85 while staying within that '10 mph' buffer most cops will give you depending on the many variables. Retards from out of state don't understand it's like that for a reason (TEXAS BIG) and constantly cause accidents. On my way to san marco I had idiots doing that in the passing lane.

But I'm perfectly glad that not everyone agrees with me on this... even though 365 mild, perfectly-usable and comfortable outdoor days a year, plus very very few bugs (besides, of course, the rampaging MURDER HORNETS, apparently) sure seems inarguably good to me.
But no, I won't argue against someone who disagrees with me about the weather (BTW, that reminds me, whatever happened to all the "weather weapon" people that used to post here all the dang time... along with the "MedBed" and "flat earth" folks?😄)... your weather preferences have to be justified to nobody but yourself, and if you can do without West Coast weather, your cost-of-living is likely more reasonable.
The nice thing about the U.S. is that we have nearly an entire continent which leaves us a very large differential between hot and cold regions.
For me, I run a degree or two hotter and I am also a beardsman; the cold doesn't phase me unless it's sub-zero, but even then I just put on some thermal base layers and I'm dandy.
Sadly Michigan government outlawed studded tires or putting chains on your tires, and leftists in my area drive like there's no tomorrow
Also, my jam is like cold winters, in that I think they're both better when they're toasty.
