I've noticed the Daily Mail is doing some real investigative journalism recently. I did a quick look into their ownership/chairmanship and they seem to be independently owned/run for over a century, within a titled British family, currently headed by the 4th Viscount Rothermere. The 1st Viscount, who created the Daily Mail and Daily Mirror in the early 20th century, lost 2 of 3 sons in WWI and advocated against aggression against Germany before/during WW2, which must have been very rare at the time in the British newspaper world. It seems like the Daily Mail, like the National Inquirer in previous decades, is a "tabloid" doing more real journalism than all of the other lying legacy press outlets put together. They've so blatantly exposed themselves as ridiculous Mockingbird mouthpieces, I only read the failing NYT these days when I want a laugh.

The single scientist who was not found to have connections cannot be "confirmed to not have connections", only that no connections were found in this investigation.
