The ultimatum I am facing is no jab, no job.. Dunno how more succinctly to put it. I understand where you're coming from, though Fake News was 'theirs' & we clobber them with it.
Space is limited & need to convey messages to people driving past, I figured people in my shoes would relate to my slogan & give them strength to resist as well.
Fwiw, I had the same thought. It sounds and feels like a threat, not a resistance slogan. Of course that all changes with context, like if you had Hitler saying it, or a 🚫 symbol around it. But showing up is the most important, and your second line will make it clear where you stand.
It is a threat, a threat that was directed at me & it is not an idle threat.
As you said, the second line will clarify I oppose this. Maybe I'll put ' ' around it too in order to convey that it is what I'm being told.
I do appreciate your feedback & I'll be revising some time in the future - just finished these & would be a pita to rework.
