I had covid and the symptoms were milder than the typical flu. If you die from something like covid you were weak to begin with. It's like dying from a skinned knee.
as far as it is, masks, disinfecting and social distances are all just so your immune response would get weaker, which happens if it stays idle long enough
as for me, no sick for 20 years and I intent to keep it that way ...aka no mask, no sanitizing, no quarantine, social distance only by ego
Hey now that's fat shaming oh wait
Same here... one overweight and two obese..
I agree it can hit some people hard, but it depends on your age and whether or not you already have some medical issues. Being overweight or being over 70 seem to be the 2 most common things that lead to death by covid.
Pro-q healthy people I know were put on their ass for a week and lost 10 lbs (which is a lot when you're short and not fat). The weirdest thing is he lives with his brother who also tested positive but his symptoms were like OP above just mild and annoying. These are twins who both have physically demanding jobs that aren't obese pieces of lazy shit. Cohabitating with as close to a genetic match you can get and they both had completely different experiences. The twins situation really makes me wonder what it targets. I used to think people getting their shit pushed in by the virus just came into contact with a potent strain but those twins having opposite reactions to the same viral infection makes me wonder what the fuck it targets. I'm seeing a lot of young healthy fit people put on their ass for a week and I know for a fact most of them are not vaccinated.
compare their 25-hydroxy vitamin D levels, for one thing. One of the twins could still have a genetic variation or SNP that is different, and if for example that happens to affect the Vitamin D receptor and the efficiency of utilizing Vitamin D synthesis for innate immunity, well there you go.
Do they both work outside in the same amounts?
Were you confirmed to have Covid? Because February 2020 I got the same thing, was coughing for a month straight and was miserable. I thought it was Covid (there was no real testing at the time) but in December I got legit Covid and had zero coughing symptoms, just felt like a mild flu and my taste buds stopped working.
I concluded after some research that what I had earlier in the year was a sinus infection exacerbated by seasonal allergies.
over 100K people died from the flu every year. The flu that was usually 3 to 4 days at home drinking tea and eating chicken soup. People get old and weak and they get ravaged by a virus that otherwise loses to 99.9 % of the population.
That's my point. Only the old or already sick are the ones that died from covid and we all know it.
Same here, had it late December last year and it felt like a very mild flu, only thing new was my taste went away and took a few months to get taste buds back to 100%.
I had a sinus infection earlier in the year that was WAY worse.
Funny, everyone says their taste or smell went away, but mine didn't. I just didn't have much of an appetite which happens to anyone when they're sick, but I forced food down my gullet anyway since I knew it would help me get better faster. Covid affected my sinuses the most though. Terribly stuffed up, congested, inflamed, it was awful, I could barely breathe through my nose. It took that at least a week or more to fully heal.
