Just shared with us that she just had a newly vaccinated 14 year old come into the ER with a stroke.

I’m glad that someone in his family cares more for him than his parents.
He should make a plea for emancipation on the grounds of neglect so he can stay with his saviors.
I have had some people look at me like I am crazy when I say that my kids can stay as long as they want until they want to leave. Some people kick their kids out as soon as they are old enough. I simply cant see how they can do that.
Our daughter lives in the downtown of the city where we live on the outskirts of. She lives alone in a good-sized apartment. She works from home and regularly spends a week or two at a time with us using our spare bedroom. She’ll spend a couple to a few weeks in her own place, back and forth. She definitely has her own life.
It’s always good to have another adult in the house for tradesmen, deliveries and the like.
I lived with my parents way past 18. I helped raise my youngest sister, and I was still figuring life out, too. They loved it and so did I—my mom has always said “I didn’t birth you just to kick you out after 18 years. You’re my child for the rest of my life.”
My SIL lived with her mom until she was 26, she moved straight from her moms and into her and her husband’s house on their wedding night. Her and her mom have the best relationship.
Sadly not everyone had good parents. Mine would have let me still live with them if I was 50yo LoL My kids can stay here as long as they friggen want :)
Others kick them out like trash.
We are the same way, eventually they leave when they are ready and able to make it on their own. Though I have to say at first I had a little bit of empty nest feelings, but didn't last too long, lol. I do like the peace and quite. I'm surprised it didn't bother me more that all 3 kids are doing their own things now, being I was a stay at home mom. We never had babysitters, if the kids couldn't go somewhere with us, we didn't go. Heck we never even had a honeymoon or been on vaca without them, still even though they are all moved out. I'd rather not go anywhere with all the stupid mandates. I refuse to wear a mask or get the vaxx. We have kinda big age gaps between our kids. One is going to turn 34 soon, middle just turned 29 this year, youngest will be 23 soon. So I didn't have them all leaving close to each other, so I think it made it easier on me to get use to.
