Same situation here. Got accepted into the university I wanted to attend, my dad made too much to get financial aid but not enough to cover it all (as it was a one income household). Tried to get a loan but couldn’t bc who lends money to an 18 year old with no credit and a minimum wage part time job. So I never went to college. Instead I busted my ass at a company for the last 10 years and finally got a position I love. I resent this SO much. What a slap in the face.

And let’s not forget when the actual President of the United States lost his.

Yep! It wasn’t “private property” when you used the public tax dollars to pay the rent, utilities and salaries though? 🙄

They hate when they get called on their bullshit. Had the EXACT same thing happen in my town. School board members who push and push for children to wear masks all day are out and about at parties and gatherings with no mask in sight. Then when the shit gets recorded and called out on Facebook, they get the posts shut down. Burn in hell, all of you.

Ask if the infection was bacterial and if any antibiotics were administered. My dad was septic last week but tested negative for Covid 4 times. They gave antibiotics since the Covid tests were coming back negative. When the 5th test came back positive, they wanted to switch to Remdisivir and steroids even though antibiotics were working. No doubt in my mind if he had tested positive on the first test, he would not be alive today because they wouldn’t have given antibiotics for what we now know was a bacterial infection.

Same thing just happened with my dad not even a week ago. We declined Remdisivir because antibiotics were working. It was bacterial yet they wanted to treat for Covid.

Hey raubie, kinda urgent here. can you please inform me on the decadron asap? Today we declined Remdisivir but were told he could have a steroid which I see is decadron in his chart. Please tell me what you know, I haven’t heard of this one but if this is also dangerous, I want to tell them to stop immediately! I didn’t know about this one

I think I shocked the doctor today when I asked if this new treatment they want to try include remdesivir. As soon as he said yes, I said NOPE. He said “may I ask why?” My dad said “because we’ve heard about it”. I have this community to thank for that. If I hadn’t known to ask that, they could’ve just done it. I feel bad for people who don’t know to ask.

Oh I’m watching everything they do while we’re here. Calling his Primary doc tomorrow to see about home treatment and get a second opinion. His vitals are looking really good tonight so let’s just keep hoping for improvement. I’ll look into the NAC for sure. Thank you

It BLEW my mind when they started to refuse the nebulizer AFTER testing positive. If Covid is so serious, why are you declining breathing treatments?? I was told it puts “Covid in the air”. If he’s positive, it’s already in the air.

Thank you for this. I’m calling his primary physician first thing tomorrow morning to have him review and potentially prescribe medication for home treatment. He’s been a good doc so far through all of “Covid” for his patient so I’m counting on him to come through for my dad.

Great advice, I for sure will do this even if I have to hand write it on a napkin. I’m watching everything they do but I would like it in writing.

I’m glad you brought this up bc this is the latest issue. They have had him use a nebulizer since he was admitted. Now all of the sudden since he is “positive” they will no longer allow him to use a nebulizer. Only an inhaler because a nebulizer “puts Covid in the air”. We are in a room with a vent system through the freaking window and they won’t treat him. What the actual fuck.

Earlier it was holding steady at 96 with 1 liter of oxygen. He’s up and walking without oxygen and coughing up mucus

I say earlier because he’s no longer hooked up where I can see so idk what it is at the moment
