Lucky you... my own doctor told me to go to the hospital if I got really sick with COVID. She won't treat it.
That kind of goes against what a doctor is there for, isn't it? :-/
They are there to fight insurance companies and follow guidelines. It almost doesn't matter how far you look back. Doctors have always been fucking crazy/evil. The further back you go the more obvious it becomes. Almost like they realized it's easier to hide and obfuscate as much as possible over the years.
Yep true. You got any good sauce?
So Nobel Prize Winner of Economics Murray Rothbard (big name in libertarian and free market circles) put out FANTASTIC lectures that are EXTREMELY relevant today on American Economic History from 1870s to 1940s whose history is almost completely lost and forgotten.
I would highly recommend lectures 7, 8, 9.
Lecture 7 talks about the forming of the FDA.
The American Economy and the End of Laissez-Faire: 1870 to World War II: 7. Theodore Roosevelt: Master Reformer https://cdn.mises.org/Theodore Roosevelt Master Reformer Murray N Rothbard.mp3
Lecture 8 has some funny stories about corporate monopolies (National Biscuit company Nabisco stands out in my mind) but a good story about Roosevelt immediately regretted who he picked as the 1st head chemist for the FDA (Harvey Wiley).
The American Economy and the End of Laissez-Faire: 1870 to World War II: 8. Regulation and Public Utilities https://cdn.mises.org/Regulation and Public Utilities Murray N Rothbard.mp3
Lecture 9 talks about Rockefeller's primary involvement with making the modern pharmaceutical companies of today. What do all pills need for the capsules? Oil. Rockefeller influenced the fuck out of the pharmaceutical industry and its been denigrated to a conspiracy theory in modern day.
The American Economy and the End of Laissez-Faire: 1870 to World War II: 9. The Progressive Era? https://cdn.mises.org/The Progressive Era_ Murray N Rothbard.mp3
There was a site somewhere that offered shitty YouTube transcripts of the lectures, I'll try to find them and post them here when I'm free. Lots of lost history there.
"fight insurance companies" LOL right. Most primary care practitioners set their prices based on what insurance will cover. As if turning on an ultrasound machine for 10 minutes is really worth $1,000. Get fucking real. There's some serious back scratching going on between doctors and insurance companies. Don't let them tell you otherwise.
Shock treatments earn psychiatrists $7000 for the turn of a dial to eleven.
A modern day physician is as useless as a dancing tik Tok nurse.
Time for a new doctor.
