Wise with a high pain tolerance. I known they make topical anesthetics but God damn. Those aren't much better than no medicine at all. You can still feel the pressure and you're still conscious enough to known you're physically fucked up so you get antsy that at any moment you'll feel the pain again.

Ohhh local anesthetics are quite powerful my friend, I’m sure he didn’t feel a thing.
Topical and local do a pretty good job. Depends on how invasive it was. A wisdom tooth removal for example is nothing with just topical and local.
Heart surgery on the other hand would suck banana balls.
I had a block to remove a cyst on my wrist once. Was alert the whole time and didn't feel a thing. Even carried on a conversation with the doctors.
Holy crap! That's some skill if they used those tiny needles to penetrate the skull and find and remove a tumor!
