I had a coworker years back working at a carwash who was an illegal Mexican immigrant. He showed me his fake green card one day and I recall that it said:
"Occupation: Cowboy"
Although I am strongly against illegal immigration, my experience in dealing with them, at least the Mexicans, is they are some of the hardest working people I have ever seen! And they are great at carpentry, roofing, masonry; I don't know where they learn, but they are good! (this is based on when I hire legitimate, American-owned companies, and when the company comes out to do the work, it seems obvious that a LARGE portion of their work force is illegal immigrants. Of course, I don't absolutely know, but when they don't speak English, at all (and need one of them to translate), I think it's a pretty good indication :) )
I concur. I lived in Houston TX for 10 years. They work their asses off! 110F on a rooftop all day while wearing jeans and long sleeve shirts. Amazing people.
