I didn't see the movie, but it sounds like a remake of a much older sci-fi movie called "The Blob" with a new star back then, Steve McQueen. About a bunch of teenagers who save a town from a growing thing from a meteor. In that version, it was a farmer out one night who sees the meteor and prods it with a stick, and it engulfs him and the rest of the movie is sort of like that. Really Grade B (or C) movie but it launched Steve McQueen's career and he went on to become the King of Cool.
So what DID Stephen King's character say when he got some of it on him?

This means a "minority" mugging old ladies are justified because they are victims of racism. Under liberalism people who are victims deserve the chance to victimize others in retaliation for imagined crimes committed by people who never existed, or who are now long dead.
Under Liberalism a man defending his home is a monster and needs 25 years for daring to interfere with a minority taking "what is owed to them because of colonialism." Every liberal city makes self defense and defense of one's home a crime. You see the pattern consistently, they try to vilify self defense, they want you to live in helpless fear where running is your only option.
They will also devote 20x as much resources in arresting and prosecuting a defender than a robber or even a murderer. 2020 was proof of that, where everybody who tried to defend themselves from Burn Loot Murder was sent to prison.

I used to live in Austin last year but moved outside the city of Austin boundary to the hill country….so glad I did. Have a friend on city council in Austin and another friend that is a Austin police officer…they are disgusted to say the least…and both are fighting like crazy. Austin city “clowncil” is made up of 80% crazy stupid evil cowards, and then their is the mayor, don’t have the energy to get into our citizens opinion of him….these morons aim to turn this place into a “Hooverville” like during the depression. You can’t fix stupid, you can only remove them or leave stupid’s jurisdictional.

Yea, I just moved to Austin, up north in the Round Rock/Pflugerville area.
