Correct..she wasn’t forced. She chose. I will be forced. As they hold be down, against my will. She volunteered for the shot. And help them roll up her sleeve.
God reigns over His creations. But does this look like His kingdom yet? And is Jesus ruling over this world yet? He does in our hearts. But I’m pretty sure the second coming hasn’t happened yet. We are still in rescue mode. Here’s is a clip of a read exactly about this topic.
“God is king, and he reigns over his creation. But in a world marred by sin, God’s kingship is resisted, and the peace of his kingdom has been shattered. After Adam and Eve’s rebellion, God’s reign is revealed as redemptive. He’s the king who is reclaiming his creation. His kingdom is not the culmination of human potential and effort, but the intervention of his royal grace into a sinful and broken world.”
So to my comment earlier. I translate this read as the second coming as the actual Earth kingdom. We may be talking about different things?
And as for Catholics. And my friend. Oh they are very aware in that lineage. So much as to say any other form of Christianity teachings, such as the Baptist church I attend, is wasted(not their words). And not true to form. That only a person with anointed heritage can preach the gospel. Even my own baptism, they question. The one in the river. It wasn’t done the way to the Catholic Church, so therefore wasted(not their words). Although they forgot how Jesus was baptized. Was glad to remind them. That’s the problem, they get so caught up in anointing, lineage, we’re the real Christian’s, etc. In one sentence they are glad and happy about my relationship with Jesus, and then worry about my teachings. And I just say...in my teachings, I have one Father. I don’t place a man between me and God. And I don’t worship a church, covered in gold. I remind them that priests are the ones that crucified Jesus. I mean we all helped place Jesus there, by our sins..but they actually begged to have Him crucified. That man makes mistakes. We sin. The Bible is all you need. Faith and love is all you need. I could be shackled in a dark prison. Covered in barb wire. Deaf, blind, and mute...and still find my way to our Lord. I don’t need a titled man to deliver me. Whose lineage resides on a piece of paper. Who people think is closer to God than I am. Who any of us are. A thief, dying on the cross, recognized Jesus. Gave Him praise, and to eternity Heaven he went. Where was those Catholic teachings there?
There is only one path to Heaven. And it doesn’t reside in a building, a lineage, or titles. It’s only through Jesus Christ. To love God and worship is not to be confusing. It’s simple. But Satan has his ways to complicate things. And I don’t get caught up in man’s business.
Yeah, you can read the gospel and Paul’s letters to get a pretty good sense of how the Church runs. The Eucharist (the true Presence) doesn’t happen in any denomination that explicitly doesn’t believe it happens.
We celebrate the last supper at our church as well.
I feel many people in the Catholic Church seem to believe Peter is the way. They lean heavily on Peter. Peter is not the way. Only Jesus is. We love Peter. We thank him. There is no one between you and Jesus. If there is, it’s man. And Satan gains an advantage with man.
And the letters Jesus wrote to the seven churches, to me, sum up how churches should be ran. Props to Polycarp.
Edit. Also wanted to add, I didn’t downvote you brother.
Last supper
1 Corinthians 11:24-25
Now I’m fairly new to the church I’m currently going to. They do the last supper quarterly. From what I’m told. The preacher mentioned several scriptures, and talked about how to serve each other, etc, etc. And I remember the verse I posted. When Jesus spoke. Our preacher addressed the congregation about taking the Lord supper in a serious manner. Not just a random thing. And to make sure biblically baptized, and such. First time I had heard that. So they took it pretty serious. So no, not just drinking wine and eating crackers.
Peter was the first leader of the church. His successors keep the seat warm for Christ’s return.
Christ explicitly gave the apostles the power of binding and loosing and of forgiving sins. This is in the gospel. He did not give that authority to anyone who wants it.
Jesus didn’t wrote any letters.
The letters that Paul wrote discuss tradition, and the church at the time had the liturgical rites that the Catholic church still honors.

Celebrating the last supper, you say?
Do you discern the body of Christ as Paul instructed? Or do you just eat bread and wine?
Book of Revelations yes. About the letters.

Yes, you misunderstand completely.

You’ve never heard of the 7 letters sent to the 7 churches? Each letter, as proclaimed by Jesus and recorded by John the Apostle?
Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia, Laodicea.
Sunday school brother. We lesser Christian’s take part in. <<trying to be funny here.
