Good stuff.
Anons, you should not be using the internet if you are not using a VPN or TOR network. And you should not be using a browser that lets all kinds of javascript running.
He's probably doing this.
Phones ping towers, VPN are nowhere near enough.
I know enough that phones ping towers and certain people can find you by your cell phone, but know nothing about VPN.
1st off they need a fuckignwarrent second airplane mode works, third turn off phone you’ll see zero signals. These’ guys have like 17 phones it would be a nightmare to track. But Dan probably has a secure sat phone tho. Good luck deep state faggots.
Need a faraday cage minimum.
over your whole house even.
Get into the habit of never using your cell phone anywhere except your house.
If you want to go outside of your house and use your phone, have a dummy phone with you (no service, no IMEI devices traced to you, and used just for taking pictures or videos), or at the very least remove your sim card and leave it at home.
That defeats the purpose of having a phone for emergency.
I had alternator blow out 4 times in 6 weeks because mechanics failed to diagnose the broken cooling pump.
What the hell would I do without my phone?
Faraday Bag works great. Also, some phones still have removable batteries
Use your phone = get tracked.
Don't want to get tracked = don't use your phone.
It's simple.
You can probably get VPN on your phone, and use a tor browser too.
That way pinging the phone off the cell tower tells prying eyes nothing but "person is using encrypted tunnel" If inside that tunnel you're using tor and they happen to crack the encrypted VPN tunnel, that's an extra layer of difficulty for them to breach (tor).
So run through tor under vpn
Ok I know enough about the internet to look things up, I’m not at all tech savvy enough to know how this is done. Can you please share for the folks that don’t know how, to go about doing this? Thanks!
Ok, just some basics:
TOR: you can do to 2 things
use the latest tails disro at https://tails.boum.org/ this is the most secure option. (either run it as a live distro on a virtual machine (least secure), or install it on a CD/USB bootable drive and boot your computer with it (more secure - when you reboot it's like it was never there - stores no info)).
Use a tor browser https://www.torproject.org/download/ (this is less secure than the 1st option)
Note on using TOR: be prepared to accept a lesser experience. Do not cave to temptation and log in to places like facebook, or google services, or you email. If you do, set up an encrypted email account on like https://mail.tutanota.com/ , or https://mail.protonmail.com/ etc. USE throw away emails like https://temp-mail.org/ to recieve emails etc.
VPN: you will need to pay for a VPN service, it basically hides your IP and makes you appear as if in another country. Generally you have to pay, which can be a vector of identification. Pay with BTC if privacy is important, but obfusticate the trail.
Disabling javascript can be handled in Tails distro or the tor browser (above), or you can get plugins like ublock or noscript (blocking the scripts is difficult and requires trial and error). Your browser may have an option to disable all javascript. Javascript runs on the client side (your computer) and sends information back to the server you are using. Some browsers can disable this. Entirely disabling javascript leads to an even more limited experience on the internet.
You want to disable javascript wherever possible, because you can leak lots of info.
Additionally you can use these sites to examine what others can see about you:
