That was Julius and Ethel Rosenberg and it had nothing to do with WWII. It was well after the war. They were executed in 1953 on conspiracy to commit espionage.
During Brett Kavanagh’s Supreme Court Interview, Lindsey Graham bought that up. Kavanagh knew the case and was able to quote case no’s. etc. It was a shock at the time, because it was insinuated at the time was Kavanagh prepared to sit on such cases. I believe it would be a Military Tribunal for espionage. They didn’t languish in jail long after conviction and were electrocuted.

In government when you do this shit you become congressmen, senators and presidents. You turn your working wage into millions. Hell, you can even “arm” an enemy you’ve been fighting for 20 years with advanced military equipment worth $80 billion.

The Rosenberg's were electrocuted in the electric electric chair for their treason. Ethel's session was reportedly very messy.
