I agree. I was a lifelong Democrat because that's how I was raised. My parents are going to be voting Democrat until the day they die and they're happy to vote seven times in election each after they die as well. They used to be the party of the workers and making sure that people had Fair pay for a day's work and making sure that people had a chance to retire so that even if you didn't work a super high paying job you still didn't have to worry too much about working until you drop dead or being homeless on the street in your old age like people used to. They were the party of the safety net to catch you if you fell. I don't know what the f*** happened but sometime halfway through Obama's presidency I was just looking at the news and I couldn't reconcile their actions with the narrative that the Democrats are the good guys in the Republicans are the bad guys. I couldn't do it. I mean right about when we destroyed Libya because Gaddafi was trying to give Libya their own currency with its value based on its gold and oil reserves, and Obama and Hillary Clinton going on the news and gloating about murdering this man, and looking at how popular he was in his own country because he actually was a leader who advocated it for his people's own best interests, and they all gloated about murdering him and the video of him being sodomized by a bunch of screeching barbarians, that was the moment when I just started seeing the b******* for what it was. I started looking at the news and going oh wait they said the complete opposite two days ago and they expect me to just forget what they said. I couldn't reconcile what my eyes were seeing with what everybody else was trying to tell me to believe. I started out thinking Trump was a moron, and I still don't agree with a lot of the things he's done, but I still think he's hell of a lot better than the turd sandwich we've been handed right now.
I hope he has some real good life insurance and his affairs are in order. Dems don't like it when people ditch that party. [they]'re more like the mafia than not.
I'll be surprised if that happens. He usually stalls around on a vote to arouse interest from the media and then votes with the Dems. He'll come around and vote with them....as usual.
Was just telling a friend today that not all politicians and not all democrats are evil horrible people..some people still actually are trying to do the right thing. Unfortunately many end up getting blackmailed into supporting agendas they don't agree with.
He's considering becoming a independent not Republican
He told associates that he has a two-step plan for exiting the party. First, he would send a letter to Sen. Chuck Schumer, the top Senate Democrat, removing himself from the Democratic leadership of the Senate. (He is vice chair of the Senate Democrats’ policy and communications committee.) Manchin hopes that would send a signal. He would then wait and see if that move had any impact on the negotiations. After about a week, he said, he would change his voter registration from Democrat to independent.
Manchin told associates that he was prepared to initiate his exit plan earlier this week and had mentioned the possibility to Biden. But he was encouraged by the conversations with Sanders and top Democrats that occurred at the start of the week and did not yet see a reason to take this step. Still, he has informed associates that because he is so out of sync with the Democratic Party, he believes it is likely he will leave the party by November 2022.
I myself am an Independent, not because I ever vote Dimocrat, but because I am just as disgusted with the limp wristed/do-nothing/cave bin/surrender all Republican party as I am the Dims. He may prove to be a more effective asset for them by "distancing" himself from the party. Still potentially a mole/collaborator
Been waiting for this. He and the senator from Arizona are the only people stopping the radical Biden agenda at the moment.
Sinema...
Yeah I've had my eye on Sinema for a while.
I also know that she didn't wear white and bow down to the Nancy crowd during President Trump's State of the Union address.
I believe she got told right there that they were watching her ass!
cinema...
Exactly.thats why I've been watching what she does.
There is a story in The Hill today about infighting beginning within the Dem party on Capitol Hill.
How many Dems have announced they won’t be seeking re-election?
Adam Kinzinger’s district was redrawn to prevent him from winning another term.
Now Dems outright leaving the party? Will Sinema be next? Rats jumping off a sinking ship. Didn’t Andrew Yang just leave the party as well?
It’s glorious watching the Dem party imploding in front of our eyes.
It has to happen. Good God, they can't all be as commie nuts as the party appears to be these days.
Dems leave the party because the party has gone fucking insane.
We've seen the former Democratic constituency walking away in droves. It's nice to see a few leaders maintaining some sanity as well

Sounds like you've had quite a journey on the political trail. I hope with us Patriots you find a home.
We have plenty of Democrats in the Republican Party apparently.
Since we are the majority can we kick them out??
This doesn't solve anything. Better to have numbers on your side.
Yes he should switch with bat nuts crazy Liz.
I hope he has some real good life insurance and his affairs are in order. Dems don't like it when people ditch that party. [they]'re more like the mafia than not.
My thoughts exactly, can you imagine the pressure?
Hope it is true and happens soon.
How's that for a little pumpkin spice?
Why not? Arlen Spector of PA switched parties twice after his election. And I gave him hell for that.
Now there's a good memory. LOL
I'll be surprised if that happens. He usually stalls around on a vote to arouse interest from the media and then votes with the Dems. He'll come around and vote with them....as usual.
I have wondered for a while when he would leave.

Will likely turn out to be a mole/collaborator.
He's considering becoming a independent not Republican
That’s all fine and good, but the only thing that matters is if he stops caucusing with them.
I could see this being an attempt to shore up his support in WV to avoid an anticipated hemorrhage of Senators.

This faggot sees the writing on the wall…. I believe he is mulling this as a self preservation standpoint
