Probably because they like to wander, in addition to the howling. All dogs follow their nose, but beagles in particular will follow a scent just about anywhere.

I love Beagles. Not the brightest, but I've never come across one of the breed I didn't like. I've also walked amongst a LOT of them at once, more than once, in my lifetime, and I've never owned one, but during those experiences, I was more in danger of being knocked over and licked to submission than eaten alive. I have a fondness for the breed in general, so when I saw what those bastards were doing, upset would be an understatement for what I felt. I'd feel pissed anyway, but when it's a breed you've had ZERO issue with, even in mass numbers at once, it's obscene to see. No animal should be treated like that. If it slows research, removing the virus research they were subjected to, I'd be for that. Nothing is more vile that a "scientist" without restrictions. Just ask the SURVIVING victims of Mengle or Unit 731.
I don't even understand why this kind of torture was necessary for testing their drug.. was it some sort of paralytic and they wanted to test it under severe pain situations? that sound pretty fucked up too.
That was similar to my reaction. I was personally angry at Fauci for torturing dogs for no reason, but I also realized that it's a chance to turn the normies against him.
I did a paper in high school about animal testing - the statistic is like 20% for what translates from animal to human i.e. what comes through testing as positive to use in human trials only ends up actually allowed to hit the market 20% of the time. So my conclusion in the paper was “so why do we torture animals for such a lowly statistic?” And honestly today I would add “why try on an animal when you can try on a pedophile?” They aren’t people they are demons :)
The Beagle is an incredibly good-natured dog, which is probably why they are so often chosen for torture.
If I lived in a remote area, definitely a breed I would consider.
Remote area 'cause they like to howl? Or just to have a dog in general?

I bet your sister adores Fauci, but not after this
Feed Fauci to sandflies
Why is this coming up now? I know I saw this news story a while ago ... Weeks? Months?
Everyone is talking about it again like it's new.
I know. I wonder if Patriots pushed it to the forefront. It’s on The Hill
Wondering the same thing. This was reported early August:

Why does it matter?

In my mind keep seeing the animal abuse (ASPCA I think) commercial for $19/ month.

We had beagles growing up. I can't read the articles about this. But I know what Fauci is - I don't need to be convinced.
As soon as the Dog story entered the picture. The Lefties were going to switch loyalties instantly to the Doggies.
I will take them all. Come to Mommas house 🐶
I feel sorry for the ferrets....!
