It's definitely fuck-y. I doubt the prop master handed anyone a loaded weapon. Most likely it was brought on set and swapped/planted, or the whole thing was premeditated murder.
I ask myself why would anyone point a gun at someone, prop or not? But then I remember that there's a lot of dumbasses that don't even bother to learn the basics of gun control...
This ^. Baldwin has been in more than enough movies with guns and knows this rule. You never point ANY firearm at anything you don't plan to kill or destroy. And even if you are THAT stupid, you don't pull the fucking trigger.
Not true with firearms. A "prop" gun is one incapable of firing anything, be it blanks or live rounds. Many times they are made of hars rubber and just painted to look real.
This gun was supposedly used for "target practice" off set and made it's way into the armourer's stash on the set. It's all a load of shit and much fuckery is afoot, all made to look like an accident.
I would like to know if it's customary on movie sets to use a complete replica of a real gun with a different sized chamber for blanks?
My guess is for cost purposes, they use actual firearms and the ammunition is altered to create blanks (which still have a look and weight completely different than actual ammunition).
Military and police train with real firearms and use blanks and simunitions, which are paint projected "sim rounds". The sim round uses black powder and a primer to project the paint which is soaked in a soft sponge like projectile so they are different than traditional paint balls. Blanks use a primer and some powder but no projectile is attached to the casing.
Well, the gun is suppose to have an obstructed barrel which would prevent a live round if it were used from leaving the barrel which would instead destroy the gun.But it looks like that wasn't the barrel used and blanks werent the ammunition used. That said a blank can kill someone within a short distance.
Prop a gun da. I will down vote myself
Yet, you didn't.
Was waiting for someone to notice kek
I like your style!

That's right. A "prop" would be something like an airsoft replica
This person was the armorer on the set.
