I woke up this morning feeling like a cold was coming on - nasal congestion, runny nose, scratchy throat, occasional unproductive cough (probably from throat irritation, IMO) and general run-down feeling.
I attended several multi-hour events this weekend, each attended by hundreds of people where I had close interaction with LOTS of kids so it is probably something I picked up there.
Having a supply of horse paste on-hand "just in case" but having never taken any, I decided to give it a try to see if it would help.
It's been 2-hours since I took IVM and here is what I can report so far. Runny nose, nasal congestion, cough - 100% gone. Scratchy throat, much better but still there. "Run-down" feeling abating - not sure if from IVM, being on my second cup of coffee, or a combination of both.
I dosed per instructions for my body weight - it was super-easy for those uninitiated horses out there - dialed in in 50-pound increments with a locking ring to keep you from over-dosing your horse. I put mine on a spoon and it went right down the hatch - followed with a big gulp of water and I barely noticed any taste at all except for a slight and not unpleasant apple flavor.
Anybody that has taken IVM, please feel free to comment on any side-effects (other than being cured) you may have encountered so I can keep an eye out for them.
Thanks.
I am not a doctor and this should not be taken as me giving medical advice. Please do your own research and make your own decisions based on what you and your health care providers recommend.
I'm still recovering from whatever it is I had, which symptoms started on 10/20. By 10/21, I was full blown sick. I wasn't able to get my hands on IVM until the evening of 10/21. I felt much better the following morning, but mild symptoms remained. Getting all congestion out at this point.
My takeaway from it is that early treatment is absolutely key. As soon as you feel the slightest scratch in your throat, don't hesitate. Today will be day 5 of IVM, but overall I am feeling MUCH better.
Sorry, forgot side effects - I felt a buzzy kind of hyper focus feeling the first couple days. Other than that, nothing else.
feeling that myself now - about 3 hours post dosing. Not a bad feeling, just a little twitchy/hyper like I've had 3-4 cups too many coffees kind of thing.
same
Good to hear you're on the mend. Any adverse side-effects to report?
I must say I appreciate all these IVM posts. I haven’t gotten ill feeling enough yet to hit my stash, but these posts give me confidence in the option. I take daily doses of C, Quercetin, zinc, turmeric, vitamin D, all of which I think keeps me good (along with daily exercise) except for allergies. But I’m wondering if the IVM might somehow work against whatever causes migraines…..
Add NAC and that is my daily
NAC? Is that niacin?
N-acetyl cysteine which is an amino acid and precursor to glutathione. Has many wonderful benefits of protecting your cells and detoxifying. Research ALL the benefits.. Take on an empty stomach. Very powerful anti-oxidant.
Thanks!
n-acetyl-cycstene
edit:
In fact, the effectiveness of NAC is so well-documented, the World Health Organization has designated it an "essential medicine." NAC is making headlines once again, this time thanks to its immune-boosting properties.
Specifically, NAC is valued for its role in producing a powerful antioxidant called glutathione (GHS). Often dubbed the "master detoxifier," GHS eliminates free radicals and heavy metals from the body and protects against the harmful effects of inflammation.
Over time, your body produces less of this vital antioxidant. However, studies have shown that taking NAC can boost GHS production.
Be careful… that was giving me heart palps.
Niacin (or B3) is a very powerful B vitamin which can be used for heart issues. The body can experience a "niacin flush" when taken in isolated in high doses. My sister took high doses of niacin to successfully treat schizophrenia back in the 70's (see orthomolecular psychiatry protocol developed by Dr. Abram Hoffer). You can take time released niacin to prevent the side effects but it truly is one powerful vitamin. Most of the time B Vitamins should be taken in the complex form. B Vitamins are wonderful in ALL that they do for the body. They are water soluble meaning you flush out any excess and they are destroyed by stress (which we all experience).
We are talking about NAC, not niacin
I am sorry, I thought your heart palpitations were from niacin...just shared some info. You had heart palpitations from NAC?
Hell i dug in on mine just because i was curious about any parasites or other infections I might have had which our lovely pharma medical industry ignores.
After the first time I took it i even noticed little aches and pains i normally have being gone. I felt awesome. I had a mega dump like four hours after.. that's the only possibly-negative side effect I can think of.
Mega dump is not a side effect, it's your body working to eliminate the baddies.
that's what i figured, but i thought it was mentionable in case someone had mega hemorrhoids or something.
Never thought of that, good point.
Sweating/mild itching first day is also sign of notable parasitic infection.
what time-frame for the onset do you estimate?
thanks - I'm in that window now - no cramping so far, thankfully. Thanks, fren.
Zinc lozenges with Vitamin C, echinacea and elderberry helped clear up my sore throat quickly. I am not giving medical advice, just saying it worked for me with the start of a cold. I got mine from Swanson’s Vitamins, but I am sure Vitamin Shoppe or GNC probably carry them too. They taste pretty good too.
I want updates. How are you feeling now? And where did you buy your horse paste? Online somewhere?
6 hours in - feeling fine. A little bubble gut followed by some flatulence around the 4-hour post dose. I had a little jittery/hyper focus around hour 3-4 but that subsided after about 20-minutes. Nothing spectacular to report since feeling better around hour 2.
Purchased online here: https://www.valleyvet.com/
Thanks!
Which kind did your horse like the most? Looks like a few options. Think it matters which one?
Durvet is my horses brand, fren.
My mare isn’t feeling well, diarrhea for days. The pony has a sore throat for a few days now too. Just gave the mare a dose and the big guy too. Hoping for the best now.
I had that bubble also.
I just finished taking 24 mg of Ivermectin per day for 45 days. My doctor who is an MD but specializes in “natural healing” also prescribed me 3 other parasite medications and an anti-fungal. I have had no side effects other than feeling better than I did before. My brother started feeling ill and took the paste and was better right away. This is not medical advice, just my experience. Note: my doctor will not prescribe the ivermectin for COVID. Makes you wonder what is the threat these doctors are afraid of.
Dm me your doctor number. Do they have phone consults?
I have the horse paste--for my horse--and I understand the dosage but how often do you take that dosage? Everyday---every other day? I have heard both!
Prophylactic is one dose followed by a 2nd dose 48 hours later. Then you can do one dose every 1 or 2 weeks or whatever you want. I see some do it once a month.. it won't hurt you whatever you choose.
If you have covid you can take it 2-5 times (one dose per day) in the sympomatic phase (or viral replication) which takes you to about to day 11 after exposure. You can double the dose if you need to. Then you can take another 5 doses over the pulmonary phases of covid (day 12+) which you can triple the dose if you need to. This dosing is from the MATH+ protocol put out by FLCCC. Hopefully you don't get to this point.
I took a daily dose for about 18 days when I had covid but I am 70 and wanted to be absolutely sure I had no breathing problems or hospitalization. Heck some people take one or two doses and are fine. I think it depends on your immune system and the severity of your case. There is a drug interaction chart in the Covid management protocol document that FLCCC Alliance put out and people on medications hold check that out...otherwise ivermectin is very safe, well-tolerated and pretty much a miracle.
They wont let Drs here in Australia prescribe it for covid any more. Frustrating that we have to go the horse paste route, but would rather have some on hand and not need it rather than get sick and its too late to get some ..
Dont forget to take IVM with a meal to encourage absorption into the body. I believe its only taken without food for parasite cleanse.
Buyivermectin24.com may be able to ship to AUS. They ship to US without a prescription. I bought 300 12mg pills for US$220.
