So I pretty much eat eggs every single day along with cheese and I also like to drink low fat milk. I'll occasionally throw in chicken and beef. Recently been adding asparagus to diet to try and hit the vegetable group. Been trying to avoid bread as much as possible. And I make fruit smoothies with vitamin supplements to make sure I get the vitamins I need, though the sugar content is admittedly high so I should probably cut that out.
Anything I'm doing wrong? I've never really thought of myself as someone who eats "healthy"... I tend to just eat what I want to eat. But I've been told my whole life that I eat too many eggs, that I should avoid dairy since it can cause cancer, and that I should stay away from red meat as well since a relative died of cancer from eating too many meats.
I don't know who the fuck to listen to anymore.
EDIT: Also I drink a lot of bottled water everyday.
Avoid the milk. It has the milk sugar, lactose. The cream only is good as it is fat. Of course fruit smoothies are full of sugar so avoid that as well.
Sugar is not needed at all in our diet. The few parts of our body that does need sugar, our body can make what it needs out of the protein we consume.
Raw milk, eggs and red meat are excellent foods as long as they are organic. The way these foods were meant to be.
Drink when you are thirsty.
Cancer causing stuff is from unnatural additives, preservatives and chemicals and TOO MUCH SUGAR as cancer feeds off of sugar!!
Thank you. Raw milk and organic eggs and meat? So in other words, buy from a farm lol. Unfortunately not too many farms around where I live sadly. Plus it generally costs more from experience, but I guess the old saying you get what you pay for applies here.
Raw milk is fantastic but it is hard to buy as it is illegal to sell it for human consumption in the U.S.
Yes, you would have to buy all these things from a farm. Small farms are something we have gotten away from to the detriment of our health. A century ago, 95% of citizens had their own gardens, chickens and maybe a cow. It is now the opposite of that as Big farms have driven out the small farmers. Our food supply is at the mercy of the few who cut corners for profit at the expense of health and also the humane treatment of the animals.
If you must eat sugar (natural) carbs then eat in moderation and make sure you balance them out by eating proteins and fats with them. This will mitigate the sugar spike that comes with eating sugar. Balance your Protein-Fat-Carbs each meal!
